Hello. In this thread I will show, how to curve flex track with rail bender from Fast Tracks. Usage of rail bender gives you two advantages: 1. You will get curves without kinks. 2. You can lay flex track on your layout very easily, because it will be already pre bended to needed radius. The process of curving flex track with rail bender can be broken in three steps: 1) Remove rails from ties. 2) Use rail bender to curve rails to desired radius 3) Install curved rails back on ties. This is detailed video guide, where you can watch how to use rail bender to curve flex track:
Hello. This rail bender can be used to bend rails in vertical direction. For example, if you build layout with two levels, you may want to make smooth transition from first level of layout to the second level. In this case you will need to bend rails in vertical direction. In my video you can see, how to do it (watch since 26:27).
I also did video way back on this topic that was for the ME flex track. I hope may be helpful for someone so sharing it here -
Did you ever post a part 2 for.... DIY Linear motion Point motor - Part 1 of 2 .... I was interested in what it might include. You have some good videos on your channel. Thanks for post them, Sumner
No I haven't yet. because of this pandemic. but now I am preparing it and will be sharing soon. may be within a week or so. Thanks for the interest.
I made a 3D printed tool off your design... http://1fatgmc.com/RailRoad/Trackwork/page-25.html ..... and it works great. Thanks so much for the idea and posting it. You have some great videos on your YouTube channel, Sumner
