Yesterday was " fun, run day " at the club layout. I went and took my Railrunner to video as I do not have a video of it. I have had it for several years but it has been run only an hour or two at the most. Only at the annual Fair Show.

At any rate, here is a short 2 minute video :

Hope you enjoyed and thanks for watching.

    Be well,
    Carl

I am so jealous! I have the locomotives but I have not been able to get the bombardier coaches for my NMRR train yet. I so want to build it! Right now when they pop up on evilbay the people think these are worth $200 per car. No thank you.

I watch the Belen Railfan camera. I see the Railrunner come south...pull in just short of the bridge....unload...load and go back north. Its a cool train !! (y)(y)

The most beautiful paint scheme in the world!
I have a New Mexico Railrunner hat that I wear at work sometimes. I get a lot of weird looks. (I work for UP)

I love how the Phoenix/Roadrunner’s tail continues from car to car and the head is on the loco. It sure beats the “Sounder” train here in WA that has blue and teal waves.

    I love this train.
Mom lived in Santa Fe. I'd always hope that something would come up so that she couldn't make the 1.5 hour trip to Albuquerque airport to pick me up. Dang Mom, I guess I'll have to take the RailRunner

I've managed to pick up a DCC loco and 2 coaches. I'd love to have at least one more coach and a cab control car but have about given up hope. The coaches also came with the original version loco but it isn't DCC friendly, so I figured it would probably just sit around. Then I decided I could turn it into a dummy and run it "push me - pull you" style like yours. It would be silly to have 2 locos with only 2 cars, but hey ... it's called Rule #1.

I also have a set (2 coach, 1 control cab) of the Trinity Rail Express (I lived in Dallas at the time, so have ridden it also). The loco only comes in the older version (non DCC friendly ... at least for my skills) and I don't like the way the paint scheme turned out ... the trailing "stardust" is too white at the start, it makes the Lone Star hard to see. So I've also thought that the RailRunner might buy some cars from the TRE and just never get around to repainting them.
