Well, Think I may have found why my Hiawatha was NOT running
as it should! Runs very poorly, since DCC decoder was added.
Discovered that one of the tender pick up wires broke! Boy, was resoldering
things a real chore! Ended up having the axle wipers come off as well.
Now, waiting on 5 minute epoxy to dry, so I can hopefully put the tender
trucks back together and test run again. If it runs good, I'll snap the tender shell back on.
Would love to get another one, that has ESU DCC/Sound already installed!

Although not N scale, I purchased this from Menards Saturday and I received it today. It’s an O scale boxcar from Menards. According to their website these boxcars of the Mississippi Export are individually numbered. Me being a big fan of the local shortline here in town. I couldn’t pass it up.

I've being doing a lot of Zzzzzz purchasing lately. They have been releasing a lot of interesting stuff in that scale... and has been getting a lot of my attention.

I was able to finally to score the six pack Kadee micro trains RMDX reefers with the Missouri Pacific and Wabash logos. I shouldn’t have passed them up at Timonium train show back in the early 2000’s. Plus I received a trainworx Missouri Pacific gondola and a roller for making pavers for the road on my layout, which came from France. My cat Jenks(named after Downing Jenks the late president of the MoPac)is checking out the new items that I received. He loves watching the trains go around. I might have to keep the center of the layout barren. He will sit there sometimes. No, he doesn’t knock over the train or rolling stock that sits in the yard. He tries to be very careful wile walking across the layout.[IMG]

Jenks is an unusually well behaved cat. Must have been a model railroader in a previous life. Most cats will jump and catch anything that moves.

New here-I got back into model railroading about 90 days ago, so everything is relatively new. My latest endeavor is getting cheap Con-cor autoracks and upgrading with Plano panels. The MT ones look nice, but I get some satisfaction out of the process doing it myself.

He was a feral cat believe it or not(y). Whenever he gets too close to the train, I tell him calmly to be careful or watch out:). Yes, on the other hand he has become a very gentle and nice cat:X3:. Yes, I agree he was a model railroader in his past life.(y)

I have a patch of saplings now next to my feed mill where my other cat clawed at the foam board:mad:. Granted this was before I received my tracks and painted the foam:cry:. It left a nasty mark there:mad:.

I bought a brass tube and aluminum rod. What I see are a smoke box and some critical tooling to build it.

    Stay safe,

    I love your kitty!

He's much more well-behaved than mine. Mine broke both trucks on my brand new Kato engine on day one by knocking it on the floor.

Just received my trees through Wish! Three bags of 40 n scale trees for less than $27! It took a while, but to me the quality is better than the ones that I received from eBay. Plus to me they are even better than woodland scenics tree kit.

    Hello Tim
Here’s what I bought from them. It option 1. I also used an discount on this. Not only I received this at an cheaper price, my shipping cost was covered also. I also noticed that the price has went up. Whenever I purchased them, they were $9 for the 40. I am going to post on my layout thread on what the outcome looks like.[IMG]

Got this at the local hobby shop last Tuesday I think. They matched the internet prices so I got a good deal. Plus, they got the money too. I also shop on the internet but try to shop there once in awhile. Looking forward to building the Modern Gas Station, but not painting the little poles Yellow :) I hope I do a good job putting it together. Can't wait to try the Woodland Scenics Fence also bought 4 different ones. Also have some of their Just Plug lights and love them, except for the Super tiny wire for my eye sight.

If you are following my NEW CC&L thread this is a repost. Some people don't I am sure!

Thank you for sharing those wonderful photos of Jenks at work!
    :)
Moose's buddy, Terry the Train Inspector, used to check for under layout derailments and the like, but had to retire last year due to neurological issues...

Furrballs are always fun to have around. We are getting one and possibly two new ones here in a few weeks. (see Barstow Rick's thread for pics of one of the new darlings). She is the runt of the litter, but the biggest of the kittens has taken a liking to her, and they are inseparable at the moment. Momma also makes sure none of the bigger kittens push my little runt out of the way for a meal.

As for train stuff, I have 1/2 of my last ebay order, and it took a week for the seller to respond, plus on a second order it should be here today, but wasn't supposed to be here till Wednesday. I will post the obligatory pics tonight when I get home. :p

Thanks So sorry to hear about that . We have an older cat that has some neurological problems, we are to take him to Baton Rouge in a few days. Jenks really watches over him also. He and our female cat came here from France whenever we moved over here.

    @Mo-Pac

Thank you for the kind words. Had three cats, but one died last month (B.J., F.I.V.), thought a second was going to die (Porsche, lung issues) and then there's wee Terry -- holdin' on as best he can... All of them have spent time in the train room, keep Moose company.
