Thanks for the great show early in the day. Occasionally I do see such long trains but, they will have several engines mixed in.

I have a friend who has been an locomotive driver for twenty years on a similar Class One railroad, hauling similar freight. He swears up and down the company is only too eager to replace the entire staff with computers to drive the trains.

Not so long ago, another driver applied the dynamic brakes too heavily on a train of empty well cars going down a slight grade as it passed under a highway overpass. The cars buckled upwards, off the rails, and smashed into the bridge above. The road was OK, but there was a lot of new scrap metal!
