Thank you! I have been filling out all the paperwork for the transition today! I'm both sad and excited at the same time.

just bought this for NZD $30.00 and it's now in bits. Seller said motor didn't run. Motor runs but mechanism locks up. I've now stripped it down, looks good. Will put it back together and repower it with a non Bachmann motor. I need to fix the damaged shell. This is going to be a motor test bed.

John makes beautiful kits, thanks John. I try my best to make the kit into a reasonably nice looking rig:

BTW, I have "fixed" that goofy left front wheel.

    be well,

Loves fuel stops, we've got them all over the place out in my neck of the woo . . . rolling prairie and their tankers look just like that, except that I have never seen a dually.

Wow, it's great to have the images working again ! Thanks to the staff for working out the problem.

I have been working through a stash of un-decorated flat cars and trailers that I have had for a long time. Most of these had been painted but not decaled so I've been on a decaling marathon using up some decal sheets that I have also had for a long time. Love the Golden Pig scheme so will be doing at least 2 of those.

Great job on the car repairs. I know what you're talking about when you get older. In my early 20's I rebuilt an 83 Toyota Truck completely taking it all the way down to the frame. A friend and I actually removed the engine and trans by our brut strength but at that age, didn't faze me at all. Did some brake work last weekend and couldn't move for a few hours. Lol.

Anyway, my suggestion to you is if there is a "do it yourself garage" in your area it is well worth the cost to have a lift and trans jacks and other things while doing that kind of work. Also if you are a veteran and you're close to a base you can usually use the motor pool facilities on the weekend. Just something to think about. I did this in Orlando a few years ago helping my friend do a clutch and CV's on his truck.

    Here is my workbench today:

I was putting this tray of 60+ intermodal equipment away but dropped it upside down onto the floor. At least it was onto carpeting. Many axles popped out of side frames and containers and/or trailers popped off or out of cars. Great sport, aint it?

    Be safe,
    Carl

Those Swift containers will be moved
I'm pretty sure that those Swift containers are far safer on rails then they are on a Swift truck! I just about got ran off the road the other day by a swift driver!!:mad:
