Welcome back everyone, to that gateway to the weekend. First, I want to personally thank all of you for the get well and well wishes you all sent me. I'm truly humbled and thankful for the support. My hospital stay was due to pneumonia and a bad cases of sepsis. I had heard of sepsis but had no idea what it entailed. Fortunately, thanks to antibiotics, a good work from home job and a loving wife, I am recuperating well. Lets get started!

Saturday: My oldest brother is here visiting IL for the month so he is coming over to help cut down brush and heavy yard work I'm unable to do at this time. I'm re-paying him by doing some custom paint on the grill of his truck. After, Ang is taking us and her Dad out for Father's Day dinner at our favorite German restaurant.

Sunday: Not much planned. Angela's Dad and I have a Father's Day car show to attend but other then that, we plan to take it easy. After much internal debate, I think I finally designed a track plan for the N scale shadowbox and bonus, I like it. Simple, end of the branch line with a set of large warehouses and a team track being served. A small siding allows the train to turn around and the addition of a drill track helps manage out bound cars. Not based exclusively on any one area in NH but generic enough that it could be Concord or Manchester. I hope to work on that more on Father's Day.

So how about you? What do you have planned this Father's Day weekend? Let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 21st to see how we all did. Until then, be safe, stay healthy and have a great weekend and as always...

    Happy Father's Day!

Glad you are on the mend Jim!!!!

Saturday will be helping my son with some prep work for his Eagle project and then shopping for some new light fixtures for the front porch with my wife.

Sunday I plan to spend a bit of time adding details to the grain elevator and just run some trains. I'm sure some other stuff will pop up as well. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Father's day to all you dads out there!

Good morning from sunny and warm Northeast Ohio!

First of all, glad you are recovering well from your health issues Jim!

Tonight, will be working on some models and cleaning up the workbench after finishing the plastics plant and pellet facility for the club layout.

Saturday, will be at the club for out monthly meeting and then an op session for a limited number of club members. I will also install the plant in place. In the evening will be celebrating Father's day with my youngest son and his wife at my Niece's restaurant in Ohio City.

Sunday, have a few cars to paint and some other's to decal that have already been painted.

Glad to read of good news regarding your health Jim. Sepsis is nasty stuff. It took my Dad's life after intestinal surgery.

Hope to continue making sawdust as I progress with benchwork this weekend .....

Jim. Glad to hear you are doing better.

If I am unsuccessful in my quest for prescription dog food today it will continue tomorrow. The PetSmart I normally get it at no longer sells it as the veterinary clinic moved out. Beyond that there is nothing really planned. Have not been informed of what is happening for Fathers’ Day yet.

If I, can I hope to work on coupler conversions for more passenger cars and the engine terminal yard.

Greetings and happy Fathers Day weekend.

Tonight going out to dinner to a French Restaurant here in Taleigh we’vecalways wanted to try. Eas offered to me for fathers day and jumped at it.

Tomorrow and Sunday I plan on working on some buildings including getting back on the HM Meyers kit. I also have an area of the layout I use to store paint and tools. That area is slated to be a “wrong-side-of-tracks” part of town for Albemarle City. I may move and organize the stuff off of there so I can start planning/scheming howitwillcome together.

    Have a great weekend all!

Jim glad to hear you are doing better and good you see you posting again.

Don't know how much time I will get in the train room this weekend. Will be getting everything ready for a short travel trailer trip next week, it will be our first since before the pandemic. And now with things returning to normal around here my wife is ready to stop the grocery deliveries and that will mean a return to me driving her around to all the stores. Will also be doing some shopping of my own for oil and filters to do oil changes on both our vehicles soon.

We'll see how things shape up, I still may get out to the layout to run a bit.
May you all have a great weekend and all you fathers out there have a happy father's day.

Thank you Mr. Wiggin for the good news. Again, busy folks here. Good projects mentioned. Wednesday, Thursday and today were "cornice day". I think I have about ninety percent of the components made and ready to assemble. Still "fighting the sunshine" a little bit but I think things are returning to normal mostly. Happy Father's Day to the dads. All have fun and be safe! (y)

Good to see you are on the mend Jim.

Looks like a busy weekend for everyone. Modeling time may be limited around here.

Saturday: My son wants to bring some friends over to our house for a board game marathon. Our dining room table is the right size and all of them are currently apartment dwellers without enough space. They are a bunch of good young people to have around so we will enjoy the noise and maybe cater some refreshments.

Sunday: Starting the day with a hike with my wife and son. Nothing too wild. Urban trail converted from an old right-of-way named, appropriately, Railroad Trail. Follow that up with something fun for lunch. Rest of the day off.

If I do get some modeling time I am reworking the boiler project first. I didn't like the look of Rev A when the domes and stack were being added. Waiting in the wings are modifying the pilot wheels and turning the stack/base combo.

    Happy Fathers' Day to all!

    Stay safe,

I have one mission this weekend - and that is to print and ship the final version of my n scale CF7 kit out to my very patient customer. It suffered many delays as life events threw out road blocks but this weekend it's finally go time on that little guy. When the custom painter is done with it I hope to share with the group. Secondly, if I have leftover time I'd like to do some experimenting with casting molds and resins. I have a couple of project ideas in mind that can only be realized using casting techniques so wish me luck in my experiments! Other than that I may take a break from our 100teen degree weather (back yard hit 119.1 F / 48.4 C today) and take dip in the pool. That's really the only way to exist outside with heat like that. :ROFLMAO:

This morning, I continued lettering and numbering coal hoppers and finished decals on a boxcar I’ve put away for a couple of years.

I wanted to start on benchwork again, specifically a false wall to support the peninsula. Looks like lumber prices are going to start dropping, so I will probably wait a little while for the cost to come down. Plenty of other things to do anyway.

Tomorrow morning, I would like to start assembling an Accurail DTTX/PRR autorack kit. I also have two more hoppers that are about 1/2 done, so I’ll finish those up, too.

Need to order more Kadee couplers, I ran out this morning!

Friday (my usual day off) I was attending a required online conference for work. After the end of the conference day, I loaded and unloaded, by hand, a truckload of mulch for our church garden.

Today, Saturday, I'm still "attending" the work conference through the morning. This afternoon I'm going to need a nap. Our daughter is coming over later so I'm not sure what we'll be doing, but thunderstorms are in the forecast, so it probably won't be outside.

Sunday, I'll be up early to get ready for outdoor lawn chair /parking lot church, then we're driving a few hours to celebrate Father's Day with our son-in-law's family since they have often driven here.

Monday, I might just take a day off.
