Flew to WI to visit family this past week and found a fine hobby shop nearby. I wanted to buy a souvenir N Scale car and have long wanted one of Fox Valley Models' Milwaukee Road horizontal ribside cars. I was thrilled to find these cars from 2012 on the shelf and not being able to decide on one, bought both and some Kato track. What could be better than buying these excellent cars at a shop located just 2-1/2 Miles from the former MILW main?
Picked these up. I now have 70 bethgons and with the addition of these 8 covered hoppers I have enough to keep an industry busy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know of it. I lived in West Allis for 17 years and then Eagle Springs Lake for 15. Starting in Spring '72. There were plenty of places that dealt in train stuff. Including swap meets.
Bought six Kadee N scale GN Western Fruit Express reefers. Here in the NW, fruit and grain were big GN customers.
Hi everyone, I've been hospitalized for about a month and am back home rehabbing. Finally got back to ordering some stuff I saw on etailer sites to 'help me feel better'. You know how some people have emotional support pets... well... model railroading is my emotional support hobby. Getting some Microtrain stuff soon from May and June... and awaiting July announcement.
Glad to hear you are back home and back to the trains Hopefully the rehab will go well. My latest purchase was some Plano autorack panels.
Glad that you were able to find one BNSF FAN. Kodachrome of the real deal, 09-13-1988 at Prattville, AL.
Nothing but some rolls of plaster cloth and some fishing folks for the river. Dull for those that are getting cars and engines, but its there for whoever likes that kind of items for the layout.
