Haveing 11 brothers I'm not holding my breath. None have such interests. I'll keep going until then. Oh well. 'Good Will' can have them.
I sold a ton of my N Scale on eBay several years ago with over 70 postings and have no regrets whatsoever. After 50+ years in the hobby, I have a good notion of what will bring me enjoyment and kept that portion. Having had to shoulder a lengthy estate settlement for my parents with a house packed with stuff, I have no want to serve that misery upon my wife and family.
Hi Boxcab, I hope all is good in your world. Yes, and I'm not sure how much I'll be around. I'm 'retired' now but have 'family duties' with the grandsons and such, (4 adults, 1 child, and 1 infant all in one home).
Boxcab! Was there a little 'double-entendre' in your post to Steve (Grey One)? Seems like you were hinting of becoming one of his long lost relatives... an heir for a future bequest of a model railroading estate. I guess you could be a 15th cousin to Steve... ... afterall I might be a 14th cousin twice removed.
@Calzephyr Given that I have two grandsons and yet I never had children, I'd say *anything* is possible. ☻
And I thought I was an oddball. I never had a child. But yet I have two daughters. 50 and 34 and one grandson 28. So could maybe have a great grandchild. The stories we could tell. But they wouldn't be railroad related.
Nice, I saw them and blinked and they were yours. You deserve them. What I get for thinking about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So I had to go to Amazon to get the Smooth It, and Dollar General for the $1.00 measuring cup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A bag of railroad crossing stuff in a sandwich bag for $3.99, and the WS painters pack. Man is that stuff tiny. Now they can do all my painting for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Finally... have waited almost 2 months got these dual illumination LEDs. Will be used for some of my locos as I update them to DCC.
These just made it in all the way from Germany. Hoppers and first time I've seen pre-weathered cars from Fleischmann so I had to get them. The loads in the hopper are really nice as they are made from actual crushed media rather than molded plastic pieces.
I’ve been hanging around the bay of e again. I found this nice little FT set. I hope to add a second one soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Keeping with the Micro-Trains scheme, I've recently added a second Micro-Trains SW1500 to the roster. Southern Railway 2327 is the latest addition to the Long Valley Branch roster. Both units are equipped with the Digitrax decoder for the Micro-Trains SW1500 I'm very impressed with the details and the slow speed performance of these locomotives, not to mention how quietly they run.
Picked these up at PF&S Railway Supply near Pasco yesterday. $6 for the reefer, $19 for the chip gon. They had four of the gons total, so there may still be some left!
Finally after years of forgetting to get this self heeling craft pad, or whatever you call it. Walmart items, blades, paints ( cheap too ), paint brushes for like 87 cents, and extra hobby blades I have been needing. Think I’ll celebrate and order the DQ Grill in N Scale, if I can find it in stock? And also looking at that WS Ice Cream Truck, would look nice on my diorama Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
