A couple weeks back I posted that I'd ordered 3 center entry passenger cars and two of them were cancelled due to being OOS/OOP. I was able to find them still in stock from a different dealer so got those ordered and they finally arrived.
got me an atlas B23-7 . i just love the atlas locos they seem to run great, every one i have runs great. ordered on a sat got it on monday
My wife just ordered a used copy of: '101 Track Plans' by Lynn H. Wesscott. My first 'layout' was #4 from that book. I intend to 'imbed' a close copy of it into the 'Grey and Grandure 20XX' Edit: For my birthday coming up.
Courtesy of a chap in the UK who was downsizing his American collection I have been able to add a couple of sets of Walters container well rakes and some boxcars to the lineup... Just need to make some progress on the model railroad now!
Just picked this little baby up. Different brand. And it looks good too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In a weak moment, because I have no need for anymore rolling stock, I ordered the Rapido GP20 tank cars, and also the Atlas GP40 in Operation Lifesaver. And, in a related purchase, at an LHS, picked up an Intermountain SD40-W in CN lifesaver scheme.
Very moment for me is weakness. I don’t need any more locos or rolling stock. Yet here I am purchasing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Purchased the CMW Olympia Beer set. The Olympia brewery is actually in Tumwater, WA, down the road from Olympia. In my youth, I think my buddies and I kept the brewery solvent.
These just arrived from RailSmith in today's mail: 56-seat coaches for the 47 North Coast Limited. Stay safe,
Hi Mark. The good thing about the Railsmith Northern Pacific 1947 NCL is that we don't have to be concerned about the Vista Dome cars. I think one of the only cars yet to be received is the heavyweight Observation Car which has been delayed by Microtrains for over a year due to the forest fires. The most recent announcement for this train are the Duplex Sleepers... which are going to look very nice as well. Oh... I think there is another 'Chief' series sleeper pending. I still want a complete Loewy NCL with the dome cars... but this series is almost as good.
Technically not a purchase, but these arrived today courtesy of Robert Ray. Overlays to turn spoked drivers into disc/Boxpok drivers for my N-scale Mikado project. Robert has been a huge help explaining how he uses the laser cutter for models. Took me weeks to produce poor prototypes. He produced these excellent pieces in a few minutes. Stay safe,
Must paint one like the tour truck in Jurassic Park. It’s the right year, even! The Jeep’s were 92, and the Explorers were 93.
So I got some goodies today. Since I used my DCS210 command station in my suitcase control center, I needed a new one to use for when I build my actual layout (whenever that is). So I acquired this: The cost of the full set was only $1 more than a DCS240 and PS615. I doubt I will ever need the extra addresses or slots the 240 has over the 210 so I’m good. And lastly for the kids to play with on the Kiddie T-Trak modules, I got a Thomas, Anne and Clarabel from Bachmann.
When I was in the USAF stationed at McClelland AFB near Sacramento CA, the NCO club sold Olympia beer. Being a East Coast guy, I had never heard of Olympia brewing and after sampling their products, I preferred Olympia Light. Seems to me though at that time the light beer was referred to "Oly Light" or was that just the nickname everyone gave it? It reminded me of my hometown favorite, IC Light from Pittsburgh Brewing.
