I liked the Winnie The Pooh lithograph, but I didn't like it that much! As for the Tyco set, yikes-a-rooni. (That's a lower value invective than "woo woo woo.")
Wasted some time scrolling through that person's store. It's a nice get-rich-quick idea. Most of what is there would not even move at a yard sale. A lot of thrift store donation items. Unreal the prices, and noticed that most all were marked down or best offer. So it looks like they are aiming high and hoping to pull someone upward with any 'best offer'.
Listed as N Scale Micro-Trains MTL 49370 CB&Q CX Colorado & Southern Reefer #50150 Custom. Picture of a Gorre and Daphetid boxcar. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3341430340...rentrq:d0d82c3b17b0a6466e0b6af2fffe41c2|iid:1
Not only the wrong car pictured, but the claim is condition of C-7: "...No Missing Parts..." Yet I see one that truck is completely invisible. Hmmm...
I sent a message about the G&D car in the BREX listing. A few weeks ago the same seller had HO scale kits listed in the N Scale category. That was fixed!
Over 60,000 transactions for a three person family-owned business. Their four year old is keyboarding product info into eBay listings. Give the kid a break. He/she is trying.
An ATLAS / ROCO N Scale Atlas Diesel Locomotive EL Erie Lackawanna #7341 F7A | eBay for $99. 97 , I Paid $15.00 for a quartet of the Same loco and Road No.7341 in 1994 at one of those so-called train shows . Tom
All, I would say this one take the cake ! ATLAS N-SCALE GEEP DIESEL ENGINE WITH AWFUL PAINT JOB-NO ORIG. BOX | eBay .. Looks like someone used a few Sharpies ! And there is this one. N-Scale 5 Micro-trains gondolas & a flat car all w/ loads various roads | eBay Tom
Agreed! Built in Austria by Roco. These were quite nice with a can motor and flywheels, and were a welcome addition to N Scale. Atlas offered a weight kit shortly after their introduction, but it was hardly needed. I still run my factory paint LVs and the pair I painted in L&NE. But at $100?! Just a waste of bandwidth.
Don't forget that Ebay is used by a lot of international buyers who don't get the same opportunities to purchase 'local' deals. The GP-15, although looking a mess, is likely an easy makeover job and I've restored worse. Sadly this guy doesn't ship to NZ, but many do, though shipping costs and delays can take away some of the 'bargain' potential. That GP-15 would look great in Conrail Blue, working the Dover Drill and M&E interchange on my soon to be built Morristown & Erie. Cheers Steve
I don't even know what to say about this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/3935697683...NaNj74Z4wZOm7qbHn9dh|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2060778
In looking at his other offerings, they seem to think that even old MP cars are worth $29. Some listings are better than others, like a Bachmann (?) old time flat with twigs: https://www.ebay.com/itm/393569768207?hash=item5ba296130f:g:t2gAAOSwRh9gf1vs
It looks like someone had their own railroad that relettered other railroads rolling stock (but for whatever reason kept the original roads reporting marks and numbers)... https://www.ebay.com/itm/393567925732?hash=item5ba279f5e4:g:jOYAAOSwL0ZgdawA https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212240?hash=item5ba27e5510:g:gQUAAOSwHu9gdbb~ https://www.ebay.com/itm/393569768321?hash=item5ba2961381:g:v1UAAOSwVoxgddO1 Is this one tagged? https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212311?hash=item5ba27e5557:g:qngAAOSw~69gdkCh
Even the cars not repurposed for the Great Basin are weathered...a LOT https://www.ebay.com/itm/393567925613?hash=item5ba279f56d:g:GJAAAOSwmetgda7x https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212146?hash=item5ba27e54b2:g:5IkAAOSwX6JgddJG https://www.ebay.com/itm/393569768314?hash=item5ba296137a:g:GIAAAOSwja1gf1Tp https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212350?hash=item5ba27e557e:g:bTQAAOSwTVpgdbRB https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212125?hash=item5ba27e549d:g:AO0AAOSwDvZgdjee
If yo don't have N scale decals, just use HO: https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212113?hash=item5ba27e5491:g:Jw0AAOSwC-5gdakh https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212294?hash=item5ba27e5546:g:FIIAAOSwcZxgdjB8 https://www.ebay.com/itm/393567925604?hash=item5ba279f564:g:K8sAAOSwu0xgdbuP https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212356?hash=item5ba27e5584:g:VYEAAOSwqj1gdazx
At least they all have MT trucks, but weathering MT cars poorly is some kind of violation of the Railroad Police code: https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212261?hash=item5ba27e5525:g:hWcAAOSw3uFgdbQg https://www.ebay.com/itm/393568212269?hash=item5ba27e552d:g:j8cAAOSwnCtgdbUN
And while there isn't anything that is worth more than $5, some just left me confused. An example: a WP hopper...wrong color, wrong lettering, not even close to an actual prototype car. Love the crazing of the paint (or is that weathering?). https://www.ebay.com/itm/393567925635?hash=item5ba279f583:g:~kQAAOSwVopgdchG I can't look at any more...
