I live near Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand where I am retired and spend time playing my 'train room' were we have a layout in Lego.

We started collecting Lego in 1973 so we have all generations of these 'toy' trains. Some are battery on plastic rails, some a powered from metal rails and later models are infrared and battery powered again on plastic rails.

I have started to introduce DCC++ to the land of the mini figures and I look forward to discussing this aspect of the world of model railroads.

4-4-4s are pretty scarce in the real world but anything is possible in Lego..

There is always need for repairs and routine maintenance!

Downtown is very cluttered but there are a few trains in the picture and a monorail is a regular sight!

The Crocodile is one of those trains without which a layout is never complete but maybe one day I will build one too!

    Welcome to Trainboard!

Holy moly, that's quite a set up you have there!!

Every train show over here in the States always has a big Lego display and it's just mesmerizing what can be done!(y)

    Hi Dogwood,
We started buying Lego trains in 1973 and nothing has been planned!

Amazing! If you get bored of a train you can just rebuild it or invent smething new!
