Hi All I'm Andy from England; an N Scaler with a modern image (sort of) layout called the Montrose and Highland Railroad. My railroad is supposed to be based on the Ohio / Indiana border and although many companies run their locos through my layout, I am trying to standardise and use mainly CSX and Norfolk Southern locos now! I've been into model railroads for around fifty years, but as you guys started with your Lionel sets as kids, our equivalent was a Hornby model. My Dad swapped our OO Gauge equipment and some model cars at the model shop for an N Gauge steam loco and coal trucks and my interest in N Gauge / N Scale started from there. I've modelled British steam, British transition steam to diesel, British green diesels, British blue diesels and British Modern Image before deciding I'd put up with the poor running models available to the British modeller for long enough, and bought an Athearn SD70M out of curiosity. I've never looked back. My British stuff never sees the light of day any more, and my American layout keeps me entertained! I have friends in the USA who are members on this forum and others besides, and am glad to join you on the Trainboard! Andy UK Stay Safe My Friends
Welcome aboard sir! - the potbelly stove in the corner is hot and we can put on a kettle for tea next to the coffee pot. The chairs are pretty comfy, so grab a seat, and post us some pics of your layout and projects - and some UK trainspotting if you are up for it!
Welcome aboard! Love our cousins from across the pond. The RC Tank forum I belong to is UK based. I look forward to seeing photos of your train stuff.
