We really went international this week, with Canadian and Japanese subjects included with all the others. Neat stuff everyone. BNSF FAN's "Traffic Club" passenger car photo sparked my interest. I found that it was built by Pullman in 1929 as a Solarium Lounge Buffet car, then bought by the PRR in 1948, retired in 1957 and then adopted into MofW service. Its name is of interest too, as when I began my career in Transportation, the trade was commonly known as "Traffic". In fact, we'd answer the phone with "Traffic Department" and my employer belonged to a "Traffic Club" in Newark, NJ with members drawn from area shippers, truckers, brokers and railroads. I suspect that Pullman chose the car's name to recognize these organizations.
We had a humdinger of a thunderstorm which crashed my computer, power outages, so I am late responding. Love the steam shots and all around good stuff as usual from all of you.
