......from all the way back in 2004-2005? I'm in the process of finally adding decals to my early undecorated MTL Husky Stack containers, and ran across a partial sheet of "Zecals" from back in the day. Now I'm wondering if anyone else might have a sheet of these that they will never use, because I have run short of usable decals. Or in addition if anyone has a source for Z container waterslide decals. Thanks for any help!
Were those Michael Hilliard decals? I got a bunch of them back in the day for all my blank MTL stack cars.
That's correct, Robert. Michael Hilliard (RIP) offered them back in the day. I can't believe so much time has passed, and that I had to retire to finally get around to them, but maybe I'll finally get them out and run them now. I'll also be renumbering the duplicate Husky cars with HoboTim's decal sets from the same time period. Anyway, do you have enough duplicates that you could spare a single sheet? I would greatly appreciate it!
I pretty much used them all up, but I will take a look. I know that I bought 40 of the MTL stack cars so I could run a decent train, then after decaling for days, I lost interest in stack trains and never ran them much. I had problems with the wheels falling off, and derails, and uncoupling issues so bad with those cars that I changed interests to running tank car trains after that.
Sorry Bryan, count me in the same boat as you, I still need decals too. I went through my extensive decal collection, and found no container decals. Then I went through my entire Intermodal collection, and found that I still have about 30 assorted containers that need decals. I have a few early MCZ containers that are undec, as well as a couple kit form half resin/half etched containers that will need decals too. -Robert
Thanks for the effort, Robert. As I remember, our experience with trying to run the Husky Stacks was quite similar to yours, which is why mine have been put away for so long as well. But I'm a glutton for punishment, so I've dragged them back out as a way to get myself back into the swing of actual modeling. I'm going to replace all the plastic wheels, and check all of the bolster pins, and take them to the "clubhouse" layout for some new testing. And I'm sure the decals will also help with running characteristics... Again, thank you for the effort, and I'll see if anyone else chimes in here or over on the AZL board.
I also found (in my archives) some trucking company decals that I have no idea of the source, but they're going to be perfect for finishing a number of the old Die-Cast Promotions 1/256 undecorated metal pup trailers. So there's that.... Still looking for container decals.....
I've used a lot of C-rail intermodal N scale ones https://shop.c-rail-intermodal.co.uk/ No one has ever noticed at a show The 40ft containers look good with the N scale 20ft decals on Tagged Carefully selected tanktainers work well as well. ( Not the most flattering pic!) Kev
Not sure if https://k4decals.com has container decals but their Z scale decal inventory is growing daily. John

Greetings!!! I be still here, hiding in the shadows! If someone needing 20' or 40' or even the 48' or 53' container decals I used to make, if they have a ALPS printer or access to one, I can send them the files I have. Of course it may take some time for me to find them. Haven't seen them in at least 13 years. Has it really been that long ago! Dang! Tim
Hi Tim, Good to see you! Rob has threatened to get his Alps printer back up and running, so if you can find the files, we would certainly be interested! Thanks!
I bought some NH decals from Michael. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I met him and the Tri-State Z club at the Springfield, MA train show a few years ago. They allowed me to run my NHRR MOW consist. It was great to see it in motion. Condolences to his family. Jim
Dang! I once had 125 of those TTX yellow 48' MTL wellcars!!!! Now I have only 1!!!! Shows you how a newbie can jump to a conclusion to buy a modern rollingstock to find out no more 48' wellcars were running, was a 40' and 53' wellcar world so I sold all but 1! And I repainted the 1 well car with fluorescent orange with black accents and put my old TNT'Z logo on the sides.
I went through all my decals again today just to be sure I didn't have container decals, and I did find some of your TTZX 48' well car decals. I guess that means I have some of your car kits to build too Tim! As well as some signal bridges!
