Hey Robert, I just ordered 10 more sets - that's 50 more beyond whatever you ordered! Now, all we need is some Z scale bucksawZ, if not chain sawZ, and model a whole squatload of stumpZ all over our layoutZ! I can't wait for theZe babieZ to arrive! I'll race ya! Thanks for pushing theZe out, Alan! All Z BeZt, Jim
Robert and Other CraZieZ Like UZ, Oh, yeah, and we now need a slew of Z scale box and frame style trailerZ to mount on theZe carZ (all the logZ I mentioned above will go on the frame trailerZ). The Micron Arts box trailer is beautiful, but at $30+ each, it will be a long time before I'll be able to buy enough to fill up all of theZe carZ (not to mention the time to build and paint all thoZe trailerZ! More of Z BeZt, Jim
I bought some of the 25' pups off ebay, and plan on getting some Mark$Design 28' trailers when they show up any day now.
Alan, they look great! I'll definitely be ordering some in the future (Track is my main concern right now however).
Ztrack Magazine is now distributing Alan Curtis Models Z scale spine cars (yeah!). Ztrack is offering three versions. The first is a kit only. The second is the kit with MTL Magne-Matic couplers and trucks. The third is the kit with Marklin style couplers and trucks. More information can be found on the ACM page of the Ztrack web site. Pricing and ordering information can be found on the order form (link on the page). Alan Curtis page Rob Kluz
Way to go Alan!! What a great way to spend the gift money from my wedding! LOL Yeah, right! My wife would kill me! I will be picking up a dozen or so of these!!
I got mine it the mail yesterday, and just opened them up. Very nice castings! I have to make up some decals for them, and was wondering if anyone else besides Trailer Train has these. I want to do one set in TTX Yellow, and a different scheme for the other set. Also, I looked on the web for pictures, and I see many of these cars have the hitching post removed, and are carrying containers. Is that a different version of the car or am I seeing correct? -Robert
