John, One is orange, one is brown! Just kidding. It looks as if the end one is taller, the graphics are larger, and the details better. Scott
I agree one is so much dirtier. Haha. Good to see you posting again John. But seriously the one on left is a touch larger.
Well here it goes...there are 543 rivets on one. and 538 on the other Dang that took a long time to count them from a photo Obviously I have no clue?
The one on the right is scratch built. Ladders must be etched, finer detail. Ribs hand cut from styrene I think, well done but with minor differences. The car is not so much smaller, as that it is lower set on its trucks. Lovely cars. I am still looking for these in PFE livery... Matt
The one on the right is not going anywhere unless you hitch it up to a horse. (no coupler) I think the prototype of the one on the right is a slightly shorter car? Maybe 50-52ft versus 57ft? (edit: Upon further review, they are in fact the same length or very close to it) As mentioned, it looks lowered to proper ride height too, or more properly stated...it was designed that way to begin with.
I hate to say it, but a little graffitti may give it a real world look. Other than that, it's beautiful!
