Finished the river insert for the UP bridge at Pataha WA. Insert is a piece of plywood on a welded metal frame. 7 truss spans are 3D resin with styrene railings. Piers and abutments at printed on a PLA printer. Still need to start center span. Will be brass, styrene and 3 D printed parts. Total bridge is 1220 scale feet. (7,71/2” real feet). This section will insert into my layout

It looks good so far but, being from the area, there isn't a 1200' railroad bridge near Pataha. I'm not even sure the railroad ever went to Pataha. There is the big bridge over the Snake at Joso but that is about 4000' long and a couple hundred feet high. Maybe I misunderstood and Pataha is a name on your layout?

It shows up on Google maps that way sometimes. May be a creek or something. Its actually was used by CSP/GNWRR but built by the UP I think. Shows up as the UP bridge over the Snake River on the bridge hunter site. It is the one east of Lyons Ferry

I know. As it had been suggested, I posted that just to show people what is actually there. I know where you are modeling, I am originally from Washington.

Wow, that's the bridge the Army Corp of Engineers built in 1968 to replace the bridge at Riparia when Lower Monumental Dam was built.

    I am impressed!

That makes sense, I forgot about that one, when I go by, I always look for a train on Joso. There is a place called Powers a little up the Tucannon River toward Starbuck.

Yes a little less lattice work. The center span is 30 3/4 inches long so I am planning to use brass trusses and girders to support the bottom deck and then use 3 D printed components and a little styrene to build the rest. I think I will build it with a removable top so I can easily clean the track in the center section.
