Baltimore And Ohio coal train crossing the Penn Central's Pittsburgh to Chicago main line in Massillon, Ohio late in the 1960s I'm guessing. Mace Tower behind the locomotives, Cherry Viaduct in the background. Robert Farkas photo. This train was approaching Warwick headed for Lorain.[IMG]

Man, what a great shot. I feel most attracted to railroading in that era and into the '70s, the last stand of cabooses, jointed rail, 40' cars, interlocking towers, classic signals, first gen diesels, branchlines to everywhere, classic passenger trains and many roads long gone today.

MACE was a PRR tower, seen here in 1965 (from Dan Maners' [ http://northamericaninterlockings.com ])

GP 38's were rated 7500 tons per unit from Holloway to Cleveland, Lorain and Willard.
