Hello, I'm planning to replace the stack on my Bachmann On30 Mogul. This one is from about 2012-ish. I have a replacement stack ready to go, a resin-cast diamond stack, but I can't figure out how to take off the existing stack. It looks like it's glued in place, but I'm worried just cutting or breaking it off won't leave a good opening for the new stack. Any suggestions? Thanks
@SVRailroader Have you checked the Bachmann parts diagram for that model? If might shed some light on how it is attached. Just a Moose thought...
I am trying to remember. I got out of On30 almost ten years ago. My memory is there was an item or two with a screw down inside the stack. Perhaps take a glance for such a possibility?
Took a picture of the inside of the shell. There's no sign of a screw here or on the mechanism itself, maybe a hint of glue around the stack base. Probably I would need to pry or break it out, pushing didn't do anything. (Pardon the messy workbench)
