Just a heads up. If anyone is in need of wood for their control panels keep an eye out on trash night. Old drawer sides and backs are usually made of quality wood. It’s also a decent thickness for this use. Any area we can save money means more money available for trains.
    Best of health to all.

That's a great idea. Until a couple of months ago I had never picked up anything from the curb. I was leaving my development and noticed a stack of plastic shelves. I used some Dawn Platinum soap, a scrub brush and they came out very clean. They work perfectly well and it probably won't take long before they are full of MRR stuff. I am now a convert to curb picking. Maybe, I should give garage sales a shot. Glenn

I use a draw bottom with 1x4s on 3 sides as a mobil work area.
We repurposed an old dresser to store my wifes sewing stuff and fabric. Keeps the cat hairs off.
Other parts of a dresser could be made into a small end table.
