I am building the HO scale kit, #8, Budweiser Beer. It’s a great kit, lots of fun so far. I’m stuck on step 5, which is adding a piece of 1/32 x 1/32 strip wood . But I have no idea where it is supposed to go, even though it states in step 5 to mount it, the instructions are not clear….
The kit is a real pleasure so far. There is also a black “seed bead” included, but there is no mention of where to position it! Anyone have any idea of where to put these parts?!
The photo shows the 1/32 square strip wood, and also the black “seed bead” on a pin.
    Where do they go?!

It looks like the 1/32 strip is glued to the end of the roof. The rectangular projection off the end is probably the strip they are talking about. Its intended purpose is most likely to support the end of the roofwalk that is cantilevered off the edge of the car.

See if it shows up in other views or steps, or look at photos of the finished car to see where it goes.

I think you are right. The roof walk cannot possibly sit flat on the angled roof. It needs a flat surface to glue onto. Thanks Trainiac!!

It would sit upon several vertical supports, spaced along the length of the roof.

Thanks to Mr Trainiac and BoxcabE50 for your help. I probably should have included more photos, but I think I will proceed. I will shape the 1/32 square piece to go under the roof walk at both ends of the car. Those pieces will only be as long as the walkway is wide. Sanding and angle to match the roof angle should work. And someone suggested that the seed bead is to simulate a brake retainer valve. Here’s the rest of the photos!
