i’m a DC dinosaur. Remember the days of the simple 2 wire current pick up system. The new loco releases are interesting, just don’t need all the bells and whistles. I came across an article were a guy did this surgery to a Bachmann on30 loco, just can’t locate it again. Sure would be nice to not have all those wires hanging between the loco and the tender on a steamer. Anyone attempted this yet?
I'm one of those dinosaurs as well. Even if I do have two DCC HO steamers and a controller. And a left over DC N SW1200. All those wires keep the tender attached to the engine. As the link doesn't do so well.
