I know that on the ESU line of decoders the LED brightness can be adjusted from a setting of 31 down to where ever I like it in the decoder settings. I have a ZIMO 621 that I am using and have not found any way to adjust brightness down in the decoder settings. I have resistor on the LED but still too bright. I am using JMRI. I have attempted to find the info in ZIMO manual, no luck. Maybe they don't have that feature? ? ? Any thoughts appreciated ! !
I don't ever remember coming across such a setting for Zimo. Not to say it doesn't exist somewhere (not a fan of their documentation, but love the motor performance of the decoders)
Rick, thanks for the input and I totally agree with everything you wrote, Both ESU and ZIMO documentation are extremely hard for a West Texas Gringo, such as I, to understand and be able to use. IMHO, I feel that some interpretive value is lost in the translation process. However I do feel that both brands have the best motor control amongst the present brands being offered. Having said that and not wanting to start a flaming, I will say that I have several DZ126T's in service that perform quite well. I have a couple of TCS that work well also. My go to's are ESU LS & LP from Bryan. Be well, Carl
According to this manual (page 30), CV 60 is used for dimming. It defaults to affecting all function outputs, but individual ones can be excluded using cv's 114 and 152.
