Well, we cancelled our May freemon party of two get together, but I still have many improvements to my modules that would be nice to have completed. So maybe to keep it simple I would like to poor the slab for the loco service area and add a road with grade crossing. Also a simple hanger for the new Digitrax throttle holders so the throttle tops rest below the edge of the layout. Maybe a combo with new and old side by side as my fellow modeler has not yet upgraded.

Pretty much the same as always:
Friday: Came up with a design for a fancy apartment building that is built into the side of a hill. All you see is the external decks and such.
    Sauturday: Weather will be beautiful.
Sunday: Maybe build a hill with apartments.

With nice weather it means outside work. I have to remove the old canopy off the gazebo. Usually I remove it in the fall but since this one had several tears and I purchased a new one I just left it on. After removing the old canopy it will be putting the new one on. I need to remove the netting from across the fishpond. That will require help from my daughter and her boyfriend and they promised to help Sunday. The wife wants to go get a couple of tomato plants but that means going to a nursery on a nice day which usually spells stressful situation.

On the workbench I have the fruit stand to assemble. On the layout there is wiring to do and perhaps the access road and parking areas for the coal yard.

Thanks to installing a toggle switch for DC/DCC I can more easily run trains so I plan to do that. I have someone here on Trainboard to thank but I can't find the post I saw as a result of a search for toggle switches. The person suggest the switch from RPC Electronics.

Well, this weekend had not been going as planned...

Friday: Computer crises; Don't want to talk about it, except to say that the dedicated train computer's hard-drive is nearly dead, so Moose was and is quite busy developing alternatives for computing storage and train-support...

Saturday: All plans went out the window as Moose discovered an all-day series of NMRA virtual clinics to watch live, from 7 am to 6 pm. Enjoyable and informative, but not productive, unless you count a long list of "some day" project ideas added to the never-ending list of "some day" projects...

Sunday: Mrs Moose starts painting part of the layout (read fixing Moose's prior painting from a few days before), whilst Moose commences cutting parts for buildings to be added to the layout, specifically some sheds and a few of the main building walls for the brewery.

Oh! And put the new train inspector trainee, one Ms. Skye, on administrative leave for the foreseeable future.
    :(

Yeah, Ms. Syke took one introductory class in layout wiring and then commenced inspecting the wiring of the MT&P layout -- from within! Moose learned a lesson: Do not try to train a kitten to do a cat's job. They're just to inquisitive and full of "enthusiasm."
    :cautious:

The weather has decided to play nice all of a sudden, so Moose likely to be taking the next few days off from train-related activities. Happy modeling everyone!
    :)

    Skye doesn't look too approving.
