Does anyone here have any Tichy Train Group sugar beet gondolas with Fine N Scale sugar beet loads? If so, what color did you paint the sugar beets? I googled "what color are sugar beets" and got various photos, not all of which were the same.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

I just did a YouTube search for "sugar beet harvest" and that showed all kinds of beets piled up. Should give you what your looking for.

    Thanks, Mr. Trainiac

I found about a half dozen assorted brown/tan paints. I'll give them a try.

They look a lot like russet potatoes- Except when they are flying and bouncing past you at fifty or sixty MPH!!!:eek::eek:

They are not the red of canned beets but look like potatoes or large onions. Even the carrots are not there table color.

Likely the color of the dried soil from which they were harvested.

    That's it. Up here it's dark gray/brown.
