Well, despite Monday being a holiday, it has been a long week for sure. I found myself within a doable after work driving distance of the new Rock Island Rail. This short line has class! Really cool to see power in Rock Island paint riding the rails in 2022! Hope you all have had a good week and have a great weekend!
That is SO cool @BNSF FAN , hard to believe that it's 2022. Our extreme summertime heat and humidity have kept me indoors, so I'll rewind the clock 38 years to April 1984 at Tuscaloosa, AL.
THE ROCK LIVES!!! Too cool, there was a good article in Trains Magazine awhile back about the "New Rock". Very passionate owners of it now!
The Rock's 1106 is homeported in Gulfport, MS serving the 5+ mile Industrial Seaway spur. She stopped me a few days ago as she crossed Seaway Road. Stupidly, I just sat and gawked while my phone remained on my belt.
The train is till in British Columbia above the Frasier River but about to turn right around the coming ridge and head for Jasper, Alberta. The eastern slope of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, is at the far left.
Awesome footage on the Rock! Back in May, I caught this ex-MILW hopper: On 17 May, this CP train 149 had to stop and flag a crossing that was defective just west of Minot, east of milepost 473. The crewman is about to board the head end, although moments before 149's arrival the signalman repaired the issue, but before the track bulletin could be cancelled.
Saw this car at S. Seattle, different... ...but the demented Mickey Mouse really caught my attention!
Careful, Mickey has become a political figure. Don't want to get banned or worse, cancelled. That said. Its creative.
That's funny, and I heard on the radio that Winnie the Pooh copyrights have been expired-they'res a evil version of him and Piglet, a slasher horror film!
