I'm already well into my weekend, but I'm hoping to get the last bugs worked out of my camera carrier, download the video that took last week so I can look at it and see if there is anything to learn or do better. I also want to compare the video from the two different cameras to see if they are noticeably different.

Wednesday, my wife and I got caught in the rain whilst walking the dogs. No obvious harm was done, particularly to my hearing aid and cochlear implant, but Thursday morning my cell phone was hot to the touch after charging and by evening I noticed that while it worked fine, it wouldn't charge. I've ordered a new charging port for it that should arrive on Sunday but until then, assuming that fixes the problem, I'll be switching over to my tablet. Of course, not everything I use every day is on the tablet, and the tablet runs s-l-o-w...

Friday, we're supposed to see the delivery of our new robot vacuum cleaner that we bought on Prime Day for a bit less than half off, so I anticipate a good part of my day Friday will be babysitting it while it "learns" and maps our house. Friday evening is/was also a graduation party for one of our Eagle Scouts from our church troop, so I'll make an appearance there as well.

Saturday is the Blueberry Festival and open house at Pegasus Farms, the therapeutic riding center or handicapped children and adults, where my wife both volunteers and has a few hours of weekly employment. She will be all day, but I will surely make and appearance and try to catch her on a break for lunch, or ice cream, or something.

Sunday, is church and then train club at the Sebring Model Railroad Club. Depending on how many people show up, I might either run trains or record some more video.

If I can squeeze it in, and if we get nice weather, I'll also try to work on my rusty milk can project or do some work on my truck.

Have any pictures of the Walthers Suburban Station? I have the Modern Gas Station and they are similar :) Except mine has the pump island.

No, no pictures available. I noticed the strong similarity to the Walthers modern gas station too.

It might be too late to prevent any damage, but you may want to consider turning your phone off for and letting it sit for a day in a bag of rice to try and pull the moisture from the inside of you phone.

Those were the same symptoms my iPhone had after I knocked my phone into a kitchen sink full of soapy dishes. Then the screen started flickering. So I put mine in the rice for about 18 hours and all the problems went away.

Regardless-I hope it all works out okay.

I took some measurements of the spare room in my house that I'm renting. I've been here since Nov of 2021 and I'm still unpacking! The room is roughly 11' 6" X 15'. There's a closet on one wall and a door to the back yard on another, but I think I'll have enough room to build a decent layout. I still need to do something with the boxes that remain in the room, but most of them are full of model train supplies that I've collected (hoarded?) over the years.

You nailed it -- It is in fact Joel's wonderful NYO&W themed layout.
Man - sorry Guys, in all of the excitement of running trains - I completely forgot to take some photos.

During the next ops session - I will take some. I promise.

    Thanks,
    Wolf
