Deep sea crab boat. Big King Crabs. I already have the bottom hull painted hull red and drying. About 54 wood parts in this Osborn Kit. Window glazing and decal are included and a well written instruction sheet.

Yeah, it looked a bit more sea-worthy than the bay crab boats I've seen. Crab traps were just chicken wire, sometimes dipped/coated, sometimes not.

Sounds like a very nice kit!

Had some Unitrack show up today, so once my power connectors get here, I can start running trains!

2 clip lights, box of bulbs, 9ft extension cord - I got tired of not being able to see what the frak I'm doing past about 7:30pm. $17 well spent for sure!

Definitely need those to work beneath a layout when doing wiring. Shadows do present a problem using them... and need to be out of the way... they get hot.

I use a fluorescent tube for automotive work. In a protective casing of course. For under table (under the sink). And lights on stands (not those in the living room).

Yup, 100W equivalent LED bulbs. I can't imagine regular incands and plastic models play well together at all!

I tried side lighting but found too much shadow cast.
I bought a cheap 36" LED strip light and hung it over the layout and found it works much better.

I bought a package off Amazon that had 6 led lights strips in it. They are 4' long and have metal clips the strip snap into. On these if one led in the light bar dies the rest will stay on ! (y)

These can be daisy chained together. I have 4 of them above my layout...2 on each side.

mtntrainman, which lights did you get and were they easy to connect and switch? I like they way LEDs softly light and photograph nicely. If easy to connect I could use them elsewhere also.

I hooked up 4 of them to one switch and used the 1 foot extension cords between 2 of them and ran a power cord behind the rear upper cabinets to the other side to connect to the other 2.

But I would have to ask my son since he is the one who actually purchased them...:)(y)

    At 11.50 each it was/is a good deal !:)
