I've been working on track right now. Putting in a siding turnout and some tunnel track. I will continue with my, Music Box, hill a bit later. More pictures to come.
I was a bit worn down last night so went looking for the figures you need. There sure isn't much of workers in bibed coveralls in HO or close. A lot of bigger stuff. So, I wasn't able to assist you there. Best wishes with your layout. Mine should be starting soon. Found a couple engines I'd like. But, it will be simple.
This is so frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I keep having to do things over. Now I have to remove the stairs so I can move it down two inches. Maybe this was a bad idea
Sometimes I make a Mock-up for testing. I so have to fiddle so much with fitting stuff is why. Sometimes I set the thing aside for a while to clear my head. I scribble diagrams sometimes too. Just some thoughts. I like everything I have seen.
I'm not giving up. I will figure this out. I have found some interesting techniques on youtube that I think I want to try.
One of my brothers is a retired architect and we were talking on the phone the other night about this very thing, finding solutions to problems by taking time to pause. I too find joy in quiet thought, sketching, measuring, researching and testing ideas. I'm not always successful, but even in those cases, I find something better than what I began with.
Here's one from 'Weekly Special Threads'. And did see a skinny one listed under 'farmer figures' on line.
I may be getting a handmade Stan and Ollie. I won't have it for a few days but when it comes, I will post them. I hope they're done well.
Hi Candy, we haven't heard from you in a month. We hope you're OK. BTW, I didn't use the "Royal" we. Just that I believe I speak for all of us who love your fantastic skills.
Here I am. I got badly sidetracked. No pun intended. My Laural and Hardy are 00 scale. Hardy is 7 feet tall!!!! I think if I keep them away from anything that might give away the lack of scale I think I can get away with it. I've just started to get back to work on my hill and house so I will be posting pictures soon.
Glad to see you back, Candy. I was about to do the wherefore art thou thing... Hoping to see your 7-foot Ollie and the rest of the scene as it comes along.
