    Hey Everybody!

The crew is working hard on the Reno extravaganza to get ready for opening registration on January 1. (Official convention dates June 14-17), and the show is coming together quite nicely.

We are working with NRail to coordinate the layouts, and their master planner has asked if there is enough interest to bring out the "Spine" which connects up to 5 loops on one continuous "Red Line Route". This concept was pioneered by NVNtrak, and has been used at a number of large layouts including Chantilly and San Diego. What Carlos needs to know is how many clubs are interested in taking a part of a loop, or a full loop so that he can plan the layout and the NSE crew can plan enough space to accommodate. So- if your club is interested, feel free to pop us an email, as we would really like to see everyone come and make a rather large layout for the event.

Of course we also want to have Ttrak and Freemo-N set ups as well. All three proved very popular in Nashville, and we want to keep the energy flowing.

It may seem like early days, but not so early if you have to plan for time off, or indeed lay out the floor at one of these events. Love to have your participation! Preliminary information is at https://www.nationalnscaleconvention.com/

    Best-

PS- we will be having an "online modeler meetup" again this year, so stand by for that announcement

Our club is struggling after covid with most of the members either moving or passing away, but if we can recover some, we'll be there. At the same time, if there is anyone in the Sacramento area interested in NTrak, we have modules in all stages, tons of supplies, and everything else one would need except people wanting to do the work...and no membership dues.

Thank you George for sharing this. Sounds like we have plenty of layout space at this one. I am really looking forward to it and I am sure that Peninsula Ntrak will be well represented. Carlos was a member here before he moved away so we all know him.

Our Tuesday trip this year is a takeover of Portola's Western Pacific Museum. We are going to have a random drawing for their "Operate a Locomotive" program. Our Friday trip is on Lake Tahoe, which is BEAUTIFUL at night. Should be a lot of fun!

That WP Museum trip should fill up quick. I've been to the museum a few times and each time has been part of a camping trip, that's how remote it is. So a day trip bus ride from your hotel is a great way to go.

Somewhat shameless plug: The September 2022 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman contains a two-page piece on the Nashville NNSC. Reno will have the same kinds of things (and what George J has already announced above).

If Nashville is any indication, they're gonna need a bigger room... there were THREE large event spaces filled with layouts there, one each for NTrak, TTrak and BendTrack. Can NRail outdo that at Reno? Come and find out...
