Great weekend event. Met old friends and made some new ones. Must have walked a couple of miles following my trains around the layout. Got sore feet but scored some good deals as well. The guys from the Altoona Area Model Railroad club were super helpful. The Blair County Convention Center was a great venue and the staff were very accommodating. Will we be back next year, Heck yeah!

Wow! What a weekend! The location and facility were fantastic! The weather was fantastic! The participants were fantastic! Mike Phillips and The Altoona Association of Model Railroaders (AAMR) were fantastic! Everything ran like clockwork! I think the N-Scale Weekend has reached its pinnacle, coming from the old days at Bedford (before my time, in a basement with no A/C) to now a commercial, professional Convention Center at Blair County, PA.

The AAMR was amazing in making sure everything run smoothly. There were hourly(?) raffle prizes. If you registered, you're entered.

Can't wait for 2023, which will be September 23, 24 as per the President of AAMR.

There was an unfortunate incident at the show that not many knew about. Hopefully there were lessons learned for next year's show.

The Great and Powerful Mike with his camera :ROFLMAO:(y) Also sounds like you picked a very nice piece of rolling stock. Micro-Trains has been doing a fantastic job with their weathered rolling stock releases. It still blows my mind the artwork on your Micro Mouse car you won, to be able to see the faces on a N scale car when you enlarge the image on your camera, mind blown.:notworthy: It was great weekend and great seeing you again at the show. I can't wait until next year. (y)

This was posted on The Railwire last night about Mike Phillips, who put this event together when it started. It was his baby.

Hi, my name is Brian, I have been a friend of Mikes' for many years and helped him with the N-Scale Weekend. This past Friday Mike had a stroke and on Saturday he had emergency surgey to remove a clot at his brain stem. Now we are waiting to see if the swelling comes down and see if he has any brain damage. He is on a ventilator, he can give a thumbs up and move his head. Please keep Mike in your prayers. When more information becomes available I will let you know.

My thoughts and prayers to Mike and his family.

Mike has been a friend to me and to the Three Rivers Associates in Ntrak (TRAINtrak). Mike has had some difficulties of late with this being the most serious. I know I join with the members of TRAINtrak as well as others in our prayers and wishing him a full recovery. People of the caliber of Mike Phillips seem to be getting fewer and fewer these days.

Shocked.... we lost a good man. He provided a venue for us to enjoy N scale and, more importantly, EACH OTHER. RIP....

Mike was a friend that will be missed. He did an excellent job with the N Scale Weekend show, whether in Bedford or Altoona. The Cantington NTrak group sends prayers.

Terrible news. He was a great guy. He wanted to go out and buy a new Mustang after he saw and took a ride in mine. Although his eyesight was starting to change for the worse.
I was invited to his house to see his layout. It was nice.
    Rest in peace my friend.
