Welcome back to the gateway to the weekend and the last day of September. The days are getting shorter and the days a bit cooler and believe it or not, we'll be in October tomorrow. Let's see what everyone has planned.

Saturday: I was hoping to start working on the modules but car duties call. I need to look at Angela's brakes and go through the car before winter. This will mean driving over an hour north to her dad's garage as he has a lift, and this is so much better than crawling around on the ground. This will take most of the day so I'm not planning on getting much done other than picking up the plywood for the modules.

Sunday: I plan to make a big breakfast and open up the garage so I can start building the modules. I also have some work I need to do on the Athearn switching layout I built. If I get a day without interruptions, I hope to build at least two module frames plus the odd corner module. I'm sure there will be a few interruptions of the domestic type, we'll see.

So how about you? What do you plan to accomplish this first weekend of October? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday, October 3rd to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

Yes. Greetings from wet Raleigh, NC. We will get about 2-4" of from Ian and winds in the mid to upper 20's. Very thankful we will not have the devastation that was seen Florida.

Will also watch a little football tomorrow (Saturday). Tomorrow night, our NC State team plays Clemson. Tough game to say the least. We'll see what happens.

Model Railroading work this weekend will consist of finishing up the wiring labels I started last weekend. Not much there to do, so I should knock that out quickly.

The next task to tackle is to pull out the Elevated bridge I started several months ago The custom turnout arrived that will be mounted on that bridge. Now I can finish the bridge, cutting beams so the bend angle in the bridge matches the curvature of the turnout. This is all for a Less-Than-Carload warehouse which will sit up against the elevated bridge as an elevated siding. Trucks will be loaded below the bridge.. ambitious but I am going to barrel ahead w/ this thing anyway.

    Have a great weekend all.

    Happy Friday to Y'all
I hope all Y'all in Florida have weathered Ian and are safe!!

So, I hope to finish up the S-4's (A bit of weathering) and put them in service.
AS well as continue to work on the SD7's. Remove molded on details. And, start to drill holes for grabs and other details.

    Y'all have a great weekend,
    Wolf

My new train room is started. The laser is used to set the heights for the upper deck and lower deck.
I will report more about this. Let's go

A bunch of errands, odds and ends, and a kid’s soccer game are the priority. After that, I’m going to try and install some Plano panels in Concor autoracks.

No modeling for me this weekend as my wife and I are kicking off a couple weeks of the grid.

    Good morning all,

There is something about this time of year that wants me to pull the table saw out into the driveway and build bench work. With the anticipated return of local train shows and a convention in Reno next year I will be starting on a long deferred set of legs for one of my Ntrak modules. When I rebuilt my two modules a few years ago I only got around to one set of legs and have been taking one module at a time to a show. This will allow me to take both at the same time. Besides that I will work on more parts for the upper helix on the home layout.

Im hoping to get track laid into Alamosa, and start getting some models of buildings for the rail served businesses down -- I do have a side gig to do for a guy building a website, so that might interfere but we'll see!

    Have a great weekend

Good morning from sunny and mild Northeast Ohio!

Friday, hope to get some decaling done this afternoon before bowling tonight, it is a position round so it will help if we can at least win 5 points tonight.

Saturday, with the Division 4 Flea Market there will be nobody at the club, so I will probably stay home as I hate flea markets. Will get some decaling done in the afternoon, before I take my wife to a surprise birthday party at my niece's restaurant. Her two sisters are coming in from Toledo and my eldest son is flying in from Denver along with some other people. My wife thinks we are just going out to dinner with my youngest son and his wife.

Sunday, laundry, choir practice and complete the decaling along with any new models I start on.

Good plans all 'round! Fine carpentry. (y) Off grid. Sounds a little like "freefall". At this point, all windows and doors are hung. ;) Next will be wall prep. Then, hopefully, wall assembly. Have a safe and fun weekend. :D

A couple of notable occasions for this weekend. First, been a long time since I have made any modeling plans for a weekend. Second, the plans are to attend the Lynden (WA) Lions Model Train Show. Luckily, I have a break in a busy domestic schedule that coincides with the show. It has been three or four years since I could make it to Lynden. Otherwise, it is family activities for the weekend. One of my wife's cousins is coming over with three little ones today. Taking a walk which may involve ice cream. There will be soccer and brunch with my son tomorrow before I head to Lynden. Then more soccer later in the day. Sunday is relatively unplanned, but some tree pruning is likely on the schedule.

    Stay safe,

With the rainy weather this weekend as the remnants of Ian pass by, we will be limited to indoor stuff. If I can get it before the rain starts there is a small garden I would like to weed. There will be Halloween decorations to bring up from the basement and put out and then there is the never-ending laundry.

Modeling wise I would like to run some trains. I want to get some cars behind the BLI E6 Atlantic. I also have a couple of other locos to test. I still have the large number of rolling stock I need to tune up.

Vacation starts Sunday. Waiting on some odds and ends of parts, and a building kit. So, may start another HOn30 box car kit. Or a building kit for my N scale mini-empire. Or.... So many possibilities... I might pack up mkay cameras and try a bit of railfanning. Or do about five minutes of fishing. Or.... Decisions, decisions.....:confused::confused:
