I can't believe it, I Won, I Won I'm feeling as giddy as a school boy on his first date. Hey Mike @MK I'm now officially part of the club
No worries of that I envision the Southern Pacific Long Valley Branch as existing someplace off the Northwestern Pacific above the town of Willits, along the lines of the Fort Bragg Railroad.
The Espee SW1500 2658 has now been placed into service on the Long Valley Branch with sister locomotive, MP15DC 2696.
It's Summer 1974 and unknown to the LVB-1 crew working Snyder Box in Long Valley, the railroad they currently work for will not exist in 2 more years. But now for just the moment, lets enjoy the sights and sounds of this lonely EMD SW1500 in Reading paint going about it's duties in Long Valley.
A Time warp has just happen on the Long Valley Branch of the Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway and the date is now 1955. Today we find leased Southern Railway 1885 about to begin today's chores of assembling the local and heading off to Long Valley. There have also been some track changes, what was once the branch line track is now the Coal Creek Spur to the Coal Creek Tipple. And the railroad has added two more cars to the roster. Lastly here is the new track schematic for the layout. And here is the old schematic for reference. Lastly, the scenery over the Sliding Hill Tunnel portal on the Midland Interchange yard side of the layout is removable, along with the coal tipple for if / or when I want to return the layout to a simple loop. Thanks for looking at the updated P&WV Long Valley Branch.
