The shop crew here was plum proud of that unit!

There were a few interesting units in town this morning, and most of the day.
A coal train with a 'stickers' unit, the 6111,

An H1 in pretty nice shape, PIC_0343.JPG
A warbonnet that isn't faded to pink! And is clean!
    PIC_0344.JPG
And a pumpkin with a shiny new HVAC unit! With all the snow, it is an easy sot for lighting.

Warmer on my side. After a couple inches of snow last night, it cleared. Low of twelve above and wind chill of minus one...

We got about five inches of wet snow - surprisingly not too heavy, a lot of it melted, and temps hovering around the freezing point, and wind chills around the cussing point...

"the cussing point" is just funny! For me, that would be down around a -50 F wind chill, then I get bothered!

"Coke train," does that mean this is a load of 'coke' for the smelters out east then?

"Cussing point" is pretty rich! I'm totally stealing this... It was 9°F above and a stiff wind this morning, probably wind chill of -15°F or more...

The kind of weather that just gets your attention!

Being spoiled by views like this early some mornings, right outside the Trainshed door.

Minus on this morning here. Very light breeze, wind chill of minus 5. The sun is out now. Up to sixteen. Time for getting out and working on a tan. Not....

The airslide is green, but lettered for BNSF. :( There is an occasional

SF bonnet through here, and they were very pretty brand new and shiny!!

And the morning walk to the Trainshed is always full of surprises! Some days it is deer I scare up in the yard. Other days it is hearing and/or seeing power pulling a train. Unusual loco's or cars. Always interesting.

Our snow is slowly melting away, so I grabbed this manifest eastbound before it is gone,

Today the crew from RJ Corman was here de-motoring one of the SD40-2's that has been working here for a while, the 1803. It now has a set of dummy wheels under it, and I suppose it will get carted away eventually.

I ain't certain what will happen to it. It is on it's way east now, with the engine idling away. I did a walk around early today,

And later on it was in the consist of this eastbound manifest getting together to go some where,
