Welcome everyone to the gateway to the weekend. I hope you had a great week and are ready for a weekend of working on the layout or in the workshop. Hard to believe it is now December and we are only a few weeks away from 2023. Let's see what this weekends plan looks like.

Saturday: With any luck, I'll get out of work early tonight and head into town to the big box store to pick up supplies to build and paint the backdrop. I'm also not happy with the corner module I built so I plan to rebuild that and will need a few odds and ends for the rebuild. Once I have all of that, I hope to make some good progress on those two projects, as well as clean up the yard and place Christmas lights and decorations.

Sunday: Will not be as warm as Saturday, so hopefully I will have all the big construction done and can move to the layout room. In a perfect world my backdrop will be fully installed and painted. We'll see. We also need to decorate the inside for Christmas and get some supplies for the upcoming holiday. I'm sure some other projects will find their way into my things to do list.

So how about you? What do you have planned for this first weekend of December? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 5th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

Good morning and a good weekend to all. The upcoming weekend like SP-Wolf will be the same. Our family reunion/Christmas party is at our house next weekend. So the Mrs. has me on "KP" duty for assistance, errands, and whatever thissa and thatta she deems required. This will only increase as the week goes on the next weekend gets closer. Given she never questions anything I do for the train room. I am happy to assist!

Where there is a breather, that's right, model railroading will occur. I know I'll have to concentrate on making sure the trains are running smoothly. Next weekend, folks will surely go in the attic and want to see trains run. Have a great weekend all and enjoy the turkey sammiches!

Friday is the usual with some decaling in the afternoon followed by bowling this evening.

Saturday and Sunday our railroad club will be open in the afternoon coincidently with the Strongsville Historical Society Christmas open house.

    Good morning everyone.

Plans for me on the layout this weekend will be to install the last of the track to complete the return loop, then feeders and two Tortoise motors. Lots of wiring things to do but that's something I actually enjoy doing. If things get far enough along, some test running over the return loop.

Wishing you all a great weekend whatever you end up doing.

Mrs Moose dragging Moose to craft fair today ... and craft fair tomorrow ... then Moose hope to sneak into train room - in between craft fairs - and continue cleaning and "NO-OX-ing" the track...

And run disease'els over it, to soak-up all the evil track demons!

Then, hopefully in a few weeks, Moose will be able to run might steam locomotives!

I'm in that TBD club when it comes to modeling plans. Have several errands for Saturday plus it's time to get started on the Christmas decorations. The wife has us tickets to see Circus de Soul Sunday afternoon. Not sure what kind of time that will leave open.

Here's wishing you all a great weekend!

Ahhh, a perfect world. (y) Train Expo!! ;) I got stuff that needs TLC on my module as well. She never questions anything...perfect. Open Houses! Christmas! Cookies!! :) Testing the return loop. Cool. Get those demons! Full Saturday and Circus. Here is the latest update on the two shot-gun houses. Loose lot edges are seen due to pending tacking down. The first pic is showing across the two lots with the M&O shop area just across Logan Street. The second pic shows the houses across Pine Street. The chicken coop is at the rear of the East lot. A little bit of the McCorkle Oldsmobile in the foreground. Another pic from the rear of the houses with the McCorkle car and bungalow in the background. The greener area is the yet unfenced cow paddock. I still need shrubs and chickens and a cow. I have a visit with a daughter this Saturday so will not get as much done. :) I usually don’t get as much done but this is a better excuse. Everyone, have a safe and great weekend. :D

Well, a bunch of family/holiday commitments this weekend-to include a birthday, final shopping/wrapping, a kids volleyball game, regular chores, getting ready for my mother-in-law’s visit, and putting up decorations. Should all be fun, but it’s a lot to pack into a weekend.

I’m going to squeeze in a little time to somewhere to work on my woodchip hoppers and get them ready for C&D service. Think I’ll decal as much as I can first, then weather the interiors and then go back and weather the exteriors.

Major focus would be making progress on my new (for HOn30) engine house. But it appears that might be minimal. As work has a high probability of interfering. It is on my workbench. I just need some time. I did finish the loading ramp/platform this past week. So am getting somewhere. Wherever that is....

I keep clearing a space in my garage.......oh hell, to many Christmas bins in the way!

Maybe January will bring actual plans that have realistic chances.

Well I have installed my traffic lights in the holes drilled, need to adjust them to make them set in the correct position. Those darn tiny wires always drive me crazy with these Woodland Scenics light stuff even with a magnifying glasses. Also still need to tidy up the wires and such. When they work they look awesome. I'll figure it out eventually.

Possibly some outside Christmas decorations Sunday or Monday, weather permitting?
