Again, no longer on the workbench (though after viewing the pics, they might go back), but here are two more Showcase Miniatures trucks I put together. These are the Type "I" Flatbeds. Two complete trucks in a kit. Nice bargain. I've added some details of my own making, though the mirrors are SM also. They look a lot better from two feet away. Porta-jons are from AZL Labs.
They look great Bryan, and the Porta-Potti loads look great too, and together they make a very convincing scene!
I think they would be horizontally strapped to the bulkhead behind the cab. Maybe something like the width of Christmas tree tinsel painted bright orange or neon yellow to represent a nylon strap or two.
So Clyde sent me some photos of the local U Haul Storage and Rental Center, and I really like the building design and paint scheme: Needless to say, you know what my next project is: I got the hard part first, which is the fancy paint job done, but still have lots left to do. At least we have some trailers for the model thanks to Walter:
That’s a cool building! I’ve not seen one like that in person but by the picture you captured the look perfectly! Do you just print the logo on regular paper and cut to size? Or do you have a special trick?
