Welcome everyone to the gateway to the weekend! It's Friday the 13th today but I for one have never really been the superstitious type, you get whatever you put into the day. With that said, let's see what we plan to do this weekend.

Saturday: I hope will be the Saturday we wanted last week. Angela's wagon is finished, and I need to finish up some last small details on the Falcon so she can come home. I really am aiming for a nice short day with a nice visit at the end with Angela's dad and grandma.

Sunday: Sleeping in will be the first order of business, followed by coffee. I'm really hoping for some time to work on the HO layout as it has sat without any progress since before Christmas. The next item is building the corner skyboard and finishing up the corner module. It is supposed to be somewhat warm this weekend, 44 degrees, which means I can work in the garage with the heaters on. I have a design in my head on what I want the corner skyboard to look like, now I just need to build it. Here is to hoping for a day of coffee, podcasts and construction.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Bench time, layout work, a show? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 16th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

    Friday:
Shopping for new flooring for the laundry room with Mrs Moose, and where ever that takes the Mooses - such is life with remodeling projects.
Hoping to finally get started on a practice bashing of a wee n-scale locomotive; the first attempt in perhaps eight or nine years of being a fraidy-moose since the last attempt.

    Saturday:
Waffles! Coffee! Jitters! Then off (to the computer) to (virtually) attend an NMRA layout tour! Then watch the Seahawks vs San Francisco playoff game -- go Hawks! Hoping for an upset, hooves crossed...

    Sunday:
Whatever Mrs Moose says, but hopefully more fun with the practice locomotive bash... :cautious:

I’m going to finish some touch-ups on three Metra Pullman coaches I repainted/decaled awhile back. I noticed that my paint job didn’t quite match the prototype so I’m going to fix that.

I’m going to weather four more Atlas Greenville hoppers for my rock train.

Then I’m going to keep plugging away on my 7x woodchip hoppers. I’d like to get the interiors done and the decals for the patches completed.

Ambitious but no real plans and I’ve got four days off so we’ll see.

    Happy Friday to Y'all --

Well, it's supposed to rain all weekend long. So, my Honeydo list will have to wait. (Other than help the Misses put away the Christmas decorations)

I hope to get the FA project wrapped up -- fingers crossed.

    Y'all have a spectacular weekend,
    Wolf

Good morning from cloudy, cold, windy and snowy Northeast Ohio! We are staying in today with the plethora of accidents happening out on the roads.

The snow should be ended by the time I need to go bowling but we will see how that goes. Before that I have started work on a Proto 2000 4427CF Covered Hopper kit since I drilled all the holes (72) for the Plano Roofwalk and I am going to lend my drill guide to one of my club members as they are currently out of stock.

Saturday, the roads should be clear and I will be heading out to the club to deliver the drill quide and run some trains. When I get home will start decaling a 50' boxcar kit and a Pennsy Cabooose that I painted over the past couple of weeks.

Sunday, doing some chores around the house and continuing with the decaling and covered hopper assembly. Will also mask off some parts on a GP35 that I got ready for painting and have applied the first coat of paint.

Good morning and Happy Friday! Modeling plans this weekend will be progress the elevated bridge. I may also put in (or start putting in) some temporary control panels. I will also spend some time reviewing control panel construction. I have a plan on wiring and the "guts" of the permanent panels, but I am still looking for a panel face detail/construction that suits me. This will involve some form of printing out and laminating the graphic. Just haven't figured out the material I want to use.

Have a great "peaceful and productive" weekend all!

    Well, its friday again!

Planning to work on the digital layout, I have the east division track in, and the businesses are roughed in with place holder structures -- so I want to spend some time actually moving freight, I also need to make some more liveries for various cars so I can expand the operations, I also need to get my Layout Party entry for this week done, and get my blog updated with pictures of some of the progress for the week

    Good morning all,

Need to get out and clean up from the recent storms. I don't think we have any real damage, just lots of small tree branches. Another storm is expected this weekend so we'll see how far I get.

Am continuing on the project to create a portable point to point operating system for the Asian layout. Have set up the Ntrak module that had not seen the light of day for over 3 years and am installing sensor and doing all the wiring needed to make this happen.

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend.

Happy Friday the 13th!!!! Beware of Saturday the 14th!

Traveling for work so not home this weekend. Plan to hit a couple LHS's in the area, railfan a little, and maybe a museum or two on Saturday. The weather promises to be nice all weekend so Sunday will be railfanning and some rest for the most part. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Like Rick (dti406), I'm just watching it snow today, but, being just a bit south and east of him, it's not amounting to much. The roads are warm enough to melt everything.. so far.

Today's (Friday) only agenda item is homework for the class that started Monday. I've had this professor before, and although he's incredible, he's known for assigning LOTS of reading. Finishing today might be overly optimistic.

If I do get done with homework today, then Saturday, I hope to get into my workshop to debug my current DCC conversion. It's "done," but not working.

Sunday will be church, and afterward, I may head out to the Sebring Model Railroad Club if it doesn't conflict with my wife's employee family (indoor) picnic.

Being a "federal" holiday doesn't mean I won't be back to work on Monday, but only time will tell.

I am sure many are getting back into MRR'g after Christmas' temporary delay. (y) Ahhh, it is to bash. :sneaky: Four days off! Cool! Rain time = model time. ;) Seventy-two holes! Thrill and drill. o_O Control panel building. More cool. Moving freight. That's what it's all about. :) Three years in storage. A record? :cautious: Museum trip! Debugging. Must do. I am still on the fifty-ton hopper. End frames made but not attached. Moving along really slow. Storms here yesterday. (Seven reported fatalities.) I hope all of you remain safe and warm. :D

I was just laying out some parts, so I might make a bit more progress on my much delayed engine house project's completion. Also, been poking around to find a body shell for yet another HOn30 critter conversion attempt.

I will be recovering this weekend from getting my back injected today (Friday), which will limit my around the house activities. Since there is no heavy lifting I ill have to be careful with the putting away of the Christmas decorations and no carrying those heavy laundry baskets.

This weekend I am hoping to go to the Greenberg Train Show. I would like to work on learning more programing DCC things with some DCC locomotives. Next on the organization list is boxcars and there are a bunch.

Think I am going to work on my Woodland Scenics or DPM, bought it so long ago, warehouse this weekend. Fresh batteries in the Power and Light Miller Engineering sign that is on top of it, see weekend photo area. Hopefully I will make some kind of progress on it?

Tim, if you are an NMRA member, you can go to the PNR's 4th Division's online calendar of upcoming events. The calendar will have a zoom link.

    To find it:
    • Log into NMRA website
    • Select the "Regions" menu near the top of the page
    • Search down the page to the "Pacific Northwest Region"
    • Select the "4th Division"
    • Select "Upcoming Events"
    • Select the desired calendar event

    Hi folks

My weekend plan is the following:

    1. As always, a lot of work in my company.
    2. A nice and quiet weekend with my wife
    3. Complete the benchwork for the staging yard
    4. Laying the track and wiring for track power
    5. If I can do all of that, I'm going to have a cold beer and listen to Metallica
Until Monday friends and then there will be pics.

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend

Not much to do at home thanks to long-weekend mail delays. So I'm devoting this weekend to the club layout. There are some persistent electrical demons I think I can finally exorcise.

I was able cut more subroadbed for the helix project. I plan to begin a frame this weekend in hopes of adding the first layer to set the grade. I planned vertical and curve easements for a tidbit of extra reliability. Double track 4-1/2 turns with the outside third track once around leading to a branchline.
