A curve like that, close to the house as it is, kinda limits the length of cars going through there... heck, even a model switcher would have a hard time negotiating that one!

Maybe a generous little old lady hands the engineer some hot coffee and fresh-baked cookies on the way by.:)

This fast freight, probably an H train, is lightly powered on a warm Feb day, (Monday 6 Feb. ) which seems weird, but trains are more fun to video when it is so nice out!

Inspired by a comment from Mike VE2TRV, here's a picture of "Blackjack", PRR GG1 4935, preserved at the RR Museum of Pennsylvania, Strasburg, PA.

    Glad to be of service!;)

But I'd call her "Black Beauty"...

Looks like she's doing 100 mph just sitting there.

Wow, that's CLOSE! A broken steel band on a load would trim the hedges....

Add up the digits in her road number, and you get Blackjack.

Old Missouri Pacific caboose at the Railroad Museum of Oklahoma in Enid. December 6, 2007. Many folks mistake this class of cabooses as "Transfer Cabooses" however they were built in the MoPac shops as full blown road cabooses that lacked bunks and other amenities typical in older models.

    Clean caboose!

UP uses 4 of these here in Seattle as idlers to load the Alaska Marine barge with cars.

Diesel servicing at the Hardy Street Shops in Houston. Late 1980s. Someone just had to go and stick an ICG Geep in the middle of all those lovely SP Bloody nose locomotives.

That's actually an SD40, and a really rare one that it was a demonstrator with the L-shape engineers window, like the SP had!
