Hi everyone - I'm trying to locate 6-wheel trucks like the ones that are used on Marklin cars, #82351 and #82532 flat bed cars as examples. I haven't been able to find the part number in any Marklin catalog, so don't know if they are available separately from the cars. Is is possible to purchase just the trucks without purchasing the entire car? Thanks for your help. Richard
Hi Richard, Welcome to Trainboard! I don't know about those trucks, but the people to ask could be http://www.ajckids.com if anyone as they list lots of spare parts on their site. You might have to phone or email. I looked up the flatcar they come on, and they sell for about $35, so I would imaging the trucks alone are pretty expensive if available. Maybe someone else has more info? -Robert
If your lookin' for American prototype 6 axle trucks, try Rob Kluz at Z-track Magazine. He sent me 2 pairs for 10.00 bucks and they work nice! I used a pair on my GN Vanderbuilt tender and the other pair for the PenZee heavyweight combine car I bought off of Epay!
OK now, let's not get all excited! We are talking about a Marklin 3 Axle Truck Better known as a 6 Wheel Truck! Am I correct? For a minute there I thought I was reading it wrong. Rob, if you are reading this, do you have more of these trucks? Thanks! Hobo Tim
Tim, Z Track sells the six whhel trucks from the well cars, etc that they sell. They accept MT coupler boxes and wheelsets. I bought a few for some long haul tenders. Dan S.
Tim, the 6 wheel trucks from ZTrack are the ones on the cast resin transformer well car/depressed center flat car. They are made in resin by the same guy that does all the resin vehicles for ZTrack. Randy
Yes, we can get anyone the 6 axle truck frames. You will need to supply your own MTL wheels and couplers. We sell the trucks for $4.50 a set plus shipping and handling. Contact me at ztrack@aol.com to place an order. These are a special order item and can take upwards of 8 weeks to come in. Rob
Check out this link: http://www.ztrack.com/mrtsbcatpgs/ztrackaccess.html The trucks are on the well cars near the bottom of the page. Rob Kluz
My thanks to everyone for the iinput and help. I've contacted Rob Kluz at Ztrack magazine and he's able to supply them to me. I also contacted Guy at ajckids.com and he is checking to see if Marklin 3-axle trucks are available separately. I'll post what I find from him. Richard
Just heard back from Guy at ajckids.com. Marklin USA informed him that the trucks are not available as spare parts. However, I also received information through Jim G. that the Marklin part number is 201843 but they may take months to get here from Germany. have my order for 3-axle trucks placed through Rob at Ztrack, but would be interested to know if anyone has success in acquiring any of the Marklin ones. That's it for now. Richard
