    I would like to add..........

I would like to add the fact that Make My Model is selling a 48'x102" trailer now in RP Acrylic. The work is done, just need slight touch-up, paint, and decals. All finished!

    http://www.makemymodel.com

Now, before you go buying several 48' trailers from MMM let me say this. I was probably the first guy to buy one. What I received was a trailer that was 42' in "Z" scale length. I brought this to their attention and they said they had fixed this problem, that I must have gotten a pre-production trailer and that they would send me a new 48' trailer. Unfortunatley I have not received my 48' trailer from them yet to see if they indeed have fixed this problem. So, before you order 5 of them for your Alan Curtis Spine cars, email them or me to make sure they have fixed this problem.

By the way, for those of you who have not viewed the previous page of photos on the bottom, click out of this posting and go to the bottom of page 6 to see what all the fuss is about!

Oh, and have a great evening/day!

    :lightning: Hobo Tim

p.s. I might entertain the idea of doing personal 48' trailer decals soon! Any ideas?

Tim, you have outdone yourself again!
Are the decals all one piece for ease of installing them? BTW, BN husky's are hard to find--and you stripped them?!?:blink6wa: :rolleyes2: over 50 TTX?????
*faints* My wife would shoot me!:bat: :bat:

I needed a bit more variety to the flatcars, so here is a couple more flavors:

Awesome GN car! Are they as painstaking to decal as they look?

They are the easiest decal job in Z Scale to date!

I have been secretly developing... Laser Cut Decals!

You wet a 2" square piece of paper towel, set the decal sheet on it, pick off the precut decals with pointy tweezers, dip in setting solution, and set in place on the car. The whole decal job is done in 2-3 minutes start to finish!

Here's an item I built from scratch a while back. It's an HO backwoods pile driver, mounted on a pair of log buggies. The image was scanned in from a photo print and as a result the grey weathering of the timbers seems to have largely faded out.

More work on the K-BAZ radio tower. Kim Vellore got an EL panel working and drives it with a PIC ucontroller. It also drives the 2 LED dirvers for the tower to create the slow brite/dim red tower markers and a "Xenon" strobe on the top of the tower. I replaced the original Micron Art security fence with their newer version which has a gate panel and 45 degree cross bracing for a more realistic look. Rusted it with the Rust All posted elsewhere. Need to add all the scenery to the 'concrete' to blend it in to the module.

Decal'd a BLMA trackside box. Painted the brass with metallic Silver, added a decal from a car set. No one will notice the specifics but it looks better than a plain box next to the tracks.

Last couple of days while waiting for Joe to bubble wrap for us a bunch of new MTL turnouts, I put together a couple of laser kits. One I picked up at a train show last year, and one I got on a 3-way trade with Robert. Robert's is unbelievably nice compared to the other. You almost hate to cut Robert's pieces apart as the detail on the wood is so fine. Found a few things I hadn't expected nor does Robert mention such as ladders or a second floor for the hay storage. I know Robert hates to write instructions but only if we could get him to just take a couple of photos during his first assembly and then issue the kits by the ton. We would be in Z heaven. His kits are just the greatest. If you haven't built any, Anthony has a few styles for sale. After you build one you'll be bugging Robert for the next one. ...don

Hi Don, I think the kit you got looks like this barn:

Put the walls up first, then paint the floor with Floquil Roof Brown and sprinkle Woodland Scenics yellow grass ground foam down, and with the exception of the paddocks, the inside will look like this:

Then put the hay loft floor down, and run your LED lighting if you choose, then do the roof, trim, and doors. What do you think of the new "peel and stick" I included?

My wife is a horse lover, so she figured out the interior for me, but I thank you for the interior view. Never thought of LED lighting and the round hole in the floor 'threw me.' Best we had figured before your photo was a shovel-out-pit to a basement, but she said "No". Now I see. I didn't get any "peel and stick" nor any fencing, so maybe Loren has it in his kit. Great suggestion for putting down grass on the floor. Never thought of that one. Photos to the group when I get finished as I am having fun doing a little extra weathering detail. ...don

I thought the door frames and trim, as well as the roof parts were peel and stick? Well, maybe I sent those out before I got the tape in to experiment with. I plan on using it for door and trim, and roofs, when I do my next kit.

Uh, oh -- Dunderhead here. I had assumed the back of those panels was merely a different type of wood. This explains why one frame did come loose from the sidewall - it was the frame popping loose from the Peel-n-stick, not the CA. Fortunately I have only a few frames actually CA'd in place. Now with this enlightenment I'll put the next frames on PROPERLY. On a quick and dirty check it may be a little hard to get the peel-n-stick unstuck, but I'll experiment. As I say, someone at this of the country goofed. Sorry about that. ...don
