Napped a Kato RS-2 in UP livery. Have trucks to turn it into a RSC-2. Prototype has A1A trucks but model has all 6 axles powered. Also a pair of Minitrix F7A and Atlas RS-3 for $20. The Minitrix just needed cleaning with a bit of Atlas Conduct-A-Lube on axles to get power to the motor. RS-3 just needed trucks disassembled and cleaned in soup and water. It has a damaged walkway and handrail piece that needs to be replaced.

A Model Power 2-8-2 showed up while I was in Texas. Runs great AND has a Vanderbilt Tender! Now to decide whether it will be GN, SP, UP, B&O, etc... Since I am doing the Gorre & Daphetid, probably one of the Western Roads.
I had a 40% off coupon from Michael’s so I bought these palm trees this afternoon. This is the palms on the Folding Table Central. I shot this as a train rolled by. I think they look pretty good but may shorten the 3 tall trees.

I got my 3 packages of trucks a few days ago. Went out and placed them strategically around Lucky Penny Yard this morning. You can never have to many pickups or service trucks in a railroad yard !
Don, you're thinking of Hobby Lobby. They stopped the 40% off coupons quite a while ago. Michael's does different coupons. Right now it's 20% off your entire purchase. Next week it could be a different coupon.
And Hobby Lobby also has adopted-- a lot-- "Your Price" stickers which don't get any discounts at all, even when there are sales. It's still a relatively cheap place to get wire.
