:D Farmer Tim here with some good news. I just finished breaking several brand new molds out of the casings. I need to pour the second half of five 2-part molds.

Once the second half has had time to cure, I will have the molds to produce a Tractor, A Hay Bailer to pull behind the tractor, and a Corn Combine to reap them fields of corn!

Robert Ray, Joe S, Looks like you'll be sport'n tractors real soon!

    Stay Posted for casting results!

That's stuff I need badly for my module. In fact, I need it more than I need this NEW CAR!

You up for some trade action Tim? A 65' Drop End Mill Gondola?

    Tim,
You also make those short silos in Roberts photo, don't you?

Can I buy a pair for next to my co-op?

    Thanks

Oh yeah put me down for a tractor too!
Edit: great idea putting them on a flatcar, now we just need a nice 50' flat...Alan Curtis, you out there?

    Robert,

WOW! That new gon looks fabulous!

    When can I get a few? :D

Those would make nice looking TTX Rail-Gons. Probably not the exact prtototype, but it sure would look good in Rail-Gon paint.

I need to pick up some trade bait.......

    Robert,
Is that another laser cut car you built? Even so, it's fantastic!

    Tim,

I need tractos and combines. Are the tractors the older model that you had earlier or a different model?

Robert, the gon looks great. This is on my project list, too. The list is really starting to get too long, I gotta build some of it. ;)

Chris, did you see the thread where David F. kitbashed a 50' flat from the fishbelly 50' gondola?

I think I have waited a suitable time after the death of the Victoria flatcar to reveal the following farm equipment hauler that is on the electronic workbench:

It will be cast metal, probably with an etched floor and will include trucks and couplers and etched grabs as well as HTTX decals. I am going to try and get the price to around $30 with a discount for quantity.

Brian, go back to work. Stop trying to order everything first. Remember, No more buying for six months. :D

Mark, are you sure that 2 year is enought to mourn the death of the victoria flat car. I said six months is more then enough. Talking about bringing up memories. It was in my first subscribtion of Ztrack. Mark can you set me up for auto pay, because you are coming out with great releases. :D

Joe D has posted pictures of FMC boxcar. It looks great. In regards to my CSX empire financing. It doesn't look good. The slush fund is definitely going into the red. :(

The first of these 60 foot wood deck flatcars saw the light of day in 1964 so they have been around a while.

We will concentrate on modern cars as it seems to me they will be in demand as modern diesels come on stream. We will consider older cars if there is demand. We have a PRR X23 in N and I may shrink it and see how it looks in Z.

Erie ceased to exist in 1960, I tend to model the 1950's.

...but the X23 would make me happy!

Or even a 8000 gallon tankcar, as the MT 10000 gallon version is a bit out of date on the details.

Or a B&O round roof boxcar.
    MILW ribsides.
USRA wood boxcars (like the Atlas model)
    33' open coal hoppers.

    Erie dunmore cabeese.

Thanks for the suggestions, Chris. Why did I forget that you are Erie through and through?
I might be able to do an Erie bay window caboose in N and Z soon....

I have been looking at possibly introducing 20 to 30 new Z body styles in the next year.

Erie bay windows aren't that far off of the SP bay windows in size, just windows would be different.

I'm sure other railroads were close as well.

Don't take my nagging the wrong way, you can't make everybody happy all at once.

    Fresh Cast Resin

Robert Ray, Joe S, here is a photo of the first cast resin copy to come out of the new RTV mold. It looks crude right now, but once I have sliced and diced the flash off and sanded a bit here & there, it will look spectacular.

This is what it will look like, minus the paint!

    More coming soon!
