Good morning although for most I guess it's still night time.... I'm a UK based N scale modeller of Canadian National. My interest in modelling was reignited after spending several months working in Quebec and Northern Ontario and watching the road switchers working in the harbour area of Montreal. My collection of rolling stock and locomotives is small (an Atlas Alco S2 and a couple of GP40's so far) and I'm hoping to build a hollow door based short line layout comprising a single running line with a 2% grade and several industries. I guess historically it will be loosely based in the 1970's. I have a NCE Power Cab for control and am using Kato Unitrack for convenience at the moment although I may change to Peco 55 before I get going with the new layout. I use SCARM for my layout planning. My grandson is showing some interest and my granddaughter wants to help paint so that's all the encouragement I need to get going .
