I have been looking all over for decals. I am specifically looking for sets of White Alpha-Numeric decals about 3/4 inch tall and White Numeric Numerals 1/4 to 3/8 inch tall. I'm flexible about styles but I have been leaning toward Century Gothic Bold font, but am interested in C&O / B&O style lettering.

I would think Microscale would carry some numeric and alpha numeric sets but I couldn't find any at their website.

    Thanks.

There are a couple of ways to solve your problem. One is to make your own decals with blank decal paper, computer and printer. Also and I have used this one...press on letters from an office supply. There are all sizes and fonts to choose from. You need to prep the surface first using a light gloss coat first. Let it dry. Then rub on the letters you want. Then give the letters a couple of light coats of gloss clear. This seals the letters.

My concern about press-on letters is that they might be too thick to allow details underneath to show themselves. (i.e. long hood doors and battery boxes)

Most of the press on letters from a stationary store are vinyl and are rather thick, go to a drafting supply store and you can get all types of rub-on decal letters in many colours and fonts. They are mainly used on blueprints, etc.

Pat, on the Microscale online catalogue scroll down to 'Alphabet and Number' and you should get their range, oddly changing the scale 'filter' in the search produces different results, whereas i'd have thought this category was scale-less!
Unfortunately they haven't any images of those sheets under the HO section so it's hard to tell what they are like unless you know your fonts. :(

http://www.fox-transfers.co.uk/ , a UK decal manufacturer also does some decal alphabet sets.
