Lakeside mall is in New Orleans. The pictures are from their Christmas childrens train that runs in the mall.

Looks like somebody has a sense of humor... I especially like the “blue” tarp roofs and the overflowing pump station (ick!)

Hey, it's not unheard of. We had a "White Christmas" last year in South Texas. We had three inches and there was much more the farther south you went. When my wife and I were down in Port Aransas (near Corpus Christi) last April, there was an art gallery selling beautiful photo prints of foot deep snow covering all the docks and shrimp boats there. A veritable winter wonder land. :D

I didn't even think about the snow being so far south... true (in most cases)

Having lived in both Louisiana, and Texas, I know historically it's possible to see snow. But New Orleans would be an extreme exception.

SNOW in the south! LOL LOL Was in Atlanta years ago, when they had 3 inches of snow. Had taken my truck down to move a friend's family from S. Indiana to about 20 miles east of Atlanta. Overnight it snowed 3 " (a light dusting!) and the people down in Atlanta went NUTS!! Had NO idea what to do with the snow, many of the kids had NEVER seen snow, and NOBODY had any idea on how to DRIVE on snow! Was able to get truck and trailer back thru Atlanta without getting hit, never seen so many wrecks and slide-offs!

It's not snow. Everyone's pot of grits boiled over at the same time!

Even it the heart of the desert I've seen it snow. Nothing stranger than the sight of a saguro cactus dusted with snow!

i have a friend that grew up in okla. that moved to ft. worth, anytime there is snow, she waits an extra hour before leaving for work to make sure all of the idiots are in the ditch. as far as i know, she's never had a problem. i love the pump station!

I just seen an article over in the Cattlecar that they made'em take it down. "...it was in poor taste..." I think their... nevermind not allowed to get political here.

We'll take it here in Mississippi. I haven't heard of anyone on the Coast being offended by people poking fun at our "temporary" housing conditions. Everyone seems to have a great sense of humor, and you can't ask for a better spoof on our situation than that layout.... :D

I just read in the paper that the layout has been taken down because of the complaints about it.

yeah I just came here to post the same thing wiking did. People took offense to it. Since it was in a privately owned mall the mall owners didn't want to cause a stir.
