On a British N scale layout at the Warley show, we spied some of my spine cars which had been 'modified' somewhat! They had been altered to represent sets used for parcel delivery trucks (specially built for our restrictive load gauge - note the depressed center section of the spine and the lowered wheel platforms). The trials were abandoned, and now the sets are stored redundant So this N scale model may remain unique
Gotta hand it to them, they did a nice job. They look good, but then again I don't know what the prototype looks exactly like. Bob

I don't know squat about European trains, but they look good to me too. The inginuity of modelers never ceases to amaze me. We'll hack and modify anything to get what we want. As the creator of the original I'm sure this causes mixed feelings for Alan; between impressed and "how dare they".
