Does somebody knows about good trainshops in the south most part of Texas (south of San Antonia, e.g. Laredo, Corpus Chrisi, Mcallen)? Coming over to north east Mexico with Eastern and planning to hop over to USA to shop for some Nscale stuff. Tried to find on internet but hobbyshop listings do not detail whether they run trains (calling all of them is a bit costy from europe).
The closest shops I know of are these: San Antonio, Tx: Dibble's Hobbies 1029 Donaldson Ave. Phone: 512-735-7721 (Ask them about others in your area too) Houston, Tx: Train Source:Texas 1-800-338-5768 (free call) 3264 South Loop West 713-662-0809 (store phone) Houston, Tx: Larry's Hobbies 156 F. Farm to Market road 1960 713-443-7373 Houston, Tx: Trains & Planes 9737 Westheimer 713-977-1420 Houston, Tx: Spring Crossing 1420 Spring Cypress Road 281-353-9484
In Austin, you have Village Hobby Shop at 2700 W. Anderson Ln, you also have King's Hobby on N. Lamar, I used to live in Brownsville, there has never been anything decent in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, but from the looks of it, the culture there wouldn't support a decent hobby shop anyway..........
Trainsource Texas and Bellaire Roundhouse (both in Southwest Houston) have combined. Trainsource Texas went out of Business and the owner of Bellaire Roundhouse bought the inventory from the bank, and got a new lease for the old trainsource space. I have a new phone number for it, but not with me. I'll try to post the new phone number here later.
