Boxcab Its on PBS stations, but not all of them. Heres a link to there site.. http://mptv.org/Tracks_Ahead/Trax_main.htm Thom
I wish I could see this show. The PBS station in Phoenix, fifth largest city in America, will not show this series. Phoenix's KAET is listed on that website as a participant, but that's simply wrong. Oh well, at least they are still showing Thomas! [ January 27, 2006, 03:25 PM: Message edited by: campp ]
Looks like their web page could use some updating. Darn! We have two PBS stations in our cable package. Neither carries the show. Boxcab E50
I just found out that the PBS station in Dallas (KERA) is now going to carry the show. Does anyone here in the Metroplex know when it will air? In the meantime, I will try to find it on their website.
I didn't find it on the website but I did email the local PBS station in Dallas and just got a reply. KERA will begin showing the Tracks Ahead show on Saturday Feb 11 from 9:30 - 10. If you get KERA (Channel 13) in the Dallas metroplex, tune in.
I've got it here in the Reno area. I'm glad that KNPB has some good sense. I was excited to see a new program this past week. They are showing the 2005 series now. For a while they had been showing REALLY OLD repeats( like 1998 timeframe). It's a great show. They have a lot of variety for fans of different interests. David
I managed to DVR 8 episodes last night, mostly from 2008. What a great series! The episode called "Maine Narrow Guage" (first aired 11/08/08) includes a visit to Kato, Japan. A very nice segment. I learned I have been pronouncing it wrong! "kahhtoe" not "kaytoe" Who knew?!
KVCR I saw it last night a 3am on channel 24 /los angeles. Thats all I can find as of today. Does anybody in the LA area know when the next showings are. Can,t seem to find a schedule for pBS/24. Glenn
Did you see this page? Television Schedule I plugged in next Friday and they are goin gto hvae 6 more episodes starting at midnight. (friday morning) You can also search by alpha and find all the episodes.
As a matter of fact I just did. You'll have to forgive me I was up early this morning......I have to leave at 4am to beat the traffic on the 405 into santa monica. Do all of us in so cal need to email this station and let them know we like this show? do it now. I heard they canceled extreme trains on history channel. Glenn
Not sure about extreme trains. I just started watching it in reruns, didn't have satellite till recently.
Thanks for the San Bernardino info. Unfortunately my Cox cable in Palos Verdes does not carry that PBS station.
I would advise that any list of PBS stations carrying Thracks Ahead isn't all that trustworthy. WMHT in the Albany, NY, area has been included in such compilations for a long time but its actual program listings hasn't contained this show in years. Anyone actually interested in the shows is probably better off purchasing the commercially available full season CD. NYW&B
