Over on the N side some people suggested a get together of Denver N scalers. I have started a thread over there to see if there is interest in some sort of social gathering for train fans. Anyone in Denver in any scale is welcome to join in.
(opens door, pokes head around the corner, hello...) Hello everyone, Do you have room for another N-scaler? I've lurked around here ever since I had signed up for my railimages acct. but never signed up for trainboard, don't know why??? Yeah, I'm another atlas guy. I just wanted to pop in and say HI and I hope to spend more time here now that I've came out with my addiction, My name is Rick and I'm addicted to trains! Hope to learn alot here...! Have a good evening! Happy Rails, Rick
Hi Rick, and welcome! There are enough Atlas "refugees" here to make you feel at home, and enough other guys to have even more fun. What do you model?
Rick, and all of you fellas n'gals who have come over from Atlas ... we are delighted to have you here, and look forward to sharing all sorts of information with you and would appreciate any tips for the hobby that you can share with us too. Don't be bashful. You will find that we are one big happy family here.
Hello everyone. I've been here before but couldn't get it to accept my old password after Atlas shut down. Signed up as new but didn't get the password until after the shutdown here so I'm new, but not new. Doug F
Here be another Atlas refugee - I've found a home at raillroadforum.com and railroadforums.com as well. I tend to take this stuff in like a vacuum cleaner, I need a lot of posts to keep me from getting bored. The Atlas forum definitely had that - a very high post count.
I came over here from Atlas, but these pages are way to busy for me. Man its like walking down main street at a carnival with the big overdoose of the happy faces, slogans, signature pictures. Somewhere in all that noise is a "me too" message.
Ken, you will get used to it. I do miss the non-clutter of Atlas, and there certainly isn't the amount of traffic on this forum, but it is a nice place to be. Bob Miller
Thanks Bob Ken .. we realize that this is a different forum than is Atlas, or other forums for that matter. It is not by mistake. Our goal is to make Trainboard.com the best of the best. We are relatively new at this ... and if you have any constructive ideas on how we can improve Trainboard, get involved and please let us know. We'll kick your idea(s) around and see what happens. Thanks
I don't think that this and other forums have alot of clutter with the multiple categories, sometimes it's a welcome site. When the HO or Inspection Pit aren't active there is something else to browse through, but I'm getting more modeling done now!! I do miss the amount of traffic that was on the Atlas, I looked forward to coming home from work and to see how many pages I had to go back to see what I missed during the day. What I don't miss is the BS that went along with that forum, having to decipher a topic to see if there was useful info wasn't fun I do enjoy this forum.
Wow it's good to see brakie is here. This is really turning out to be the Atlas web site withdrawl rehab center.
