It has been a busy morning. Looks like I am not the only one since it has taken so long to start this today.

This will be another busy weekend. On Saturday we have to do more Christmas shopping. I have to take my father-in-law to my wife’s favorite clothing store so he can get her some gifts. This is a good thing since the clothing store is next one of my favorite hobby stores. So while I am helping him, my wife will be taking my son to the LHS and helping him shop for dad. My daughter shopped there last weekend. When the clothing shopping is done I get to shop for myself in the LHS. On Sunday my daughter’s brownie troop will be going to watch the Polar Express so we will be making it a family outing.

Trainwise I have two cabooses that still need window glazing. Also I have some more planning and trying with the track plan for the Northern Light & Power mini layout. Also maybe I will get a load of lumber for the bench work for the mini layout.

I'm going to try to get some track laid on the new layout. Hopefully I can get some trains running this weekend. I haven't seen a train run in my house for some time and it would be nice to see. We're supposed to get about a foot of snow so hopefully I can use the time productively.

I need to re-sink the drywall screws into my 1/8" hardboard backdrop and then begin taping and mudding the 3 seams and all the screw holes.

I'm going to continue working on my turntable and engine yard module.

The wiring needs to be completed for the bus lines and I'm lay some track to see how it looks.

Stopped in Hobby Station while in St Louis yesterday and picked up more woodland scenics road bad and some atlas flex track.

Finished roughing in the track this morning. The roadbed is down, and the track is down with brads thru the holes in the middle....these are gonna be replaced as I get the ties drilled and tacked, hopefully will be down by the end of the weekend and start some scenery.

    Have a great weekend!

Since I finaly got around to installing the decoders in my still undecorated Trainmasters, I think I'll actually pull some rolling stock around! Probably going to work on my bridge project - attaching at least the lower cross members, and maybe the side panels (i.e. pseudo-girders) too if everything goes well.

Saturday I have to work. And I'm sure the yard needs raked and poop-scooped, plus I need to straighten up my layout for Thursday's visitors. Probably want to put up a table skirt to hide all storage boxes underneath.

Another weekend of thinking and scheming for me.

While I know in broad what I want from this wonderful new layout I'm planning, always the devil is in the details.

Maybe I need to find a more powerful cad program to help me "visualise" my ideas. -- Or just upgrade to Pen and Paper [IMG]

Lower level trackwork finished. I will be ripping up upper level and designing new top, hopefully, when I figure out the Atlas RTS program

I'm not sure. Jeanne's away, so there won't be any yard or house chores but, on the contrary, no help in the train room. And I think I'm coming down with the flu. I've tried hard to avoid it, but I've had too much contact with the sniffling-sneezing-coughing crowd at work and in airplanes.

I'll see how I feel tomorrow morning. I'd really like to get some people planted downtown, and my road crossings stained just the right shade. I knocked a ship out of the harbor onto the floor the other night, so maybe I'll work to repair that. It won't take long.

But I think the flu season is starting, by the way I feel tonight.

I'm going to venture out in the garage and dust off the layout and see what mayhem I can get into !!

Actually, I'm going to see if what track plan I have will work or if I need to simplify a bit [IMG]

At my mother's tonight so I can help her out. Liekly date Saturday so i better clean house. that means maybe on Suday i can try to grind up some system board to use for Mysterium and maybe have time to cut the sides for the Mysterium hauling cars from other parts of the system boards. i know, that was probably TMI but oh well. It is modlel rr related, (to me). ;)
    good luck guys.

If (IF) I get time, I have a new airbrush to field-test. Once I get used to it, I have an S2 and RS3 to paint- no, not in Frisco, but in the colors of the long-gone Northeast Oklahoma Railroad.

But for now, I'll test it out on some "sacrificial" shells to get the feel of it.
